…any resemblance to a fat, bald trucker from Leeds was never my intention, but I can work on it

hi gamble,
I’m sorry if I misread you, I usually do. – It’s not always easy being an airhead.Tiger is doing very well. If he’s still around next season, I will have been instrumental in supplying him with an inmate, but I’m not telling you what it’s called

And where did you chat to the Basingstoke Bomber?
He was long gone before you joined here, must have been another forum, yes?
[b:25ih735h]….No [/b:25ih735h]

I like chatty people too
sometimes
You seem a Lovely Lady, UMLL still pops up now and then from some old topic…which is nice..
….shame she turned ugly. You should start more threads Pete….
December 21, 2009 at 13:17 #264773I see,but why register under another name? But that’s your business.

December 21, 2009 at 13:29 #264774Tor, it was the ‘TRF night of a thousand knives’. As I remember it Cormack had hit the Brandy and culled all the troublemakers
and worse still Gamble had his walking-stick confiscated….
December 21, 2009 at 13:55 #264777lol…yes it’s as Pete says. I tried desperately to salvage her but to no avail but thank you for asking, Tor.
You may have answered this already and I’ve missed it, but it has puzzled me this fascination with Kate Bush – she seems, well, so long ago.
There is only one song I can recall and blow me I can’t recall it now…lol!…she has a high pitch squeaky voice in it..
I’m going on you tube to look it up but I’m struggling with the song title….will get back on this important issue

later:-
‘Wuthering Heights’
December 21, 2009 at 16:31 #264799Kate is pure class,UM.
Can’t believe that you struggle to remember one song from her body of work.Have a look on her wikipedia page.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Bush
You may recall something on there from the best female performer/writer in the country. She’s always been one step ahead as well- Kate firsts:
First woman to write and perform a UK chart-topper ("Wuthering Heights")
First UK solo woman to top UK album charts ("Never For Ever")
First use of radio mic in concert, etc.Get thee from this building. In this church Kate’s music is the bible.

I can see it now as Gamble wanders through the early hours looking for his answers and he comes to your parish. He hears music and opens up your door and there you are conducting your choir………….
Little light shining,
Little light will guide them to me.
My face is all lit up,
My face is all lit up.
If they find me racing white horses,
They’ll not take me for a buoy.Let me be weak,
Let me sleep
And dream of sheep."Attention shipping information in sea areas…Bell Rock, Tiree,
Cromaty, gale east…Malin, Sellafield…""Come here with me now."
Oh, I’ll wake up
To any sound of engines,
Ev’ry gull a seeking craft.
I can’t keep my eyes open–
Wish I had my radio.I tune in to some friendly voices
Talking ’bout stupid things.
I can’t be left to my imagination.Let me be weak,
Let me sleep
And dream of sheep.Ooh, their breath is warm
And they smell like sleep,
And they say they take me home.
Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper.December 21, 2009 at 16:59 #264802Tor, it was the ‘TRF night of a thousand knives’. As I remember it Cormack had hit the Brandy and culled all the troublemakers

Gamble can use this if he wants a walking stick.

winked at me

December 24, 2009 at 15:20 #265325I’m going for a kip now, and then I have to make an important decision; do I spend Christmas Day sober?
Not done it before, so I’m a bit scared about what might happen.
Only got 3 cans in the fridge, so I have to estimate how many will see me through today and tomorrow, leaving me with none for Boxing Day onwards. Downside is that I will have a couple of silly bets and post some stupid stuff on this Forum.
December 24, 2009 at 15:41 #265332At the risk of being branded a heretic in this church and upsetting Tor’s Christmas I have to say I think Kate Bush it terrible.
When she sings it sounds to me like a cat being castrated without the benefit of anaesthetic.
As for Wuthering Heights, I had never realised Cathy was a wailing banshee until I heard Kate Bush’s rendition.
Granted she is a very attractive lady (and having just had a look on Google I have to say she has become even more attractive as she has got older) but as soon as she opens her mouth I am afraid I have to hit the off button.
December 24, 2009 at 16:18 #265338Gerald; you’ve got to stay sober; then I can bore you with a blow by blow account of me trying to cook Christmas dinner. I’m sorry to tell you this but I reckon you’re in need of a bit of mothering and I’m going to do it. By this time next year you are going to be the fittest, thinnest and healthiest person on this forum. Oh, and Grey Gardens is on late’ish Christmas Day and needs to be watched. I think these ladies are going to be my next role models…
December 24, 2009 at 17:06 #265347Kip over. Sorry Moe, I’ve decided to go with tradition. Its Christmas, innit.
If you have a turkey my recommendation is to stuff it with a mixture of sausagemeat and an almost equal quantity of garlic.
So what is Greys Garden – is it a fictionalisation of Grumpy Old Women?
Back in 5 minutes – off to the Offy.
December 24, 2009 at 18:21 #265361Gerald, take the alcohol route tomorrow, well actually I’d recommend start now. Maybe then you can clarify what is going on at present? I don’t have any answers, I know longer know what the questions were. Merry Christmas.
