    Imo, where the pace is is far more important than the draw on a straight track, (Cue strange feeling of deja-vu on last year’s race:) ) and, as far as one can tell, it should favour the higher drawn horses in this race.<br>Although I haven’t looked at the consolation race, I wouldn’t advise getting sucked in by the pap on the Morning Line about that race giving vital clues, for that reason alone.<br>

    I had fancied the chances of Rio Riva on his run ahead of Gentleman’s Deal last season, but having seen it put up by Pricewise I have re-evaluated a little.

    Rain Stops Play only ever seems to win at a price, enjoys easy ground and is decent enough on his day if allowed to lead.
