The quality is in the decline. A few weeks ago he was interviewing Christopher Walken, and totally screwed up the interview by repeatedly asking him stupid questions about his voice. Last night he was putting on the fakest laugh when Peter Kay was there, the guy who just happens to be as funny as getting kicked in the nuts and having your wallet nicked. Does anyone else find Peter Kay totally crap ? It’s time for a show revamp. Get rid of the poofters and their piano, stop forcing Wossy to talk a lot of bollocks about absolutely nothing for the opening 5-10 minutes, and ask some good questions to the guests. Thank god Johnny Cash night was on bbc 4.I must also admit that very few British guests do it for me. The Americans have true camera presence, that not many British ‘celebrities’ do. For example, one time Tom Hanks was on the show, along with the loose women. That just about sums it up !

Some may argue there has never been any quality. Who wants to see Clarkson again? The two Aussies I mentioned below are in a different league to Ross but they only got about six shows whereas Ross appears to have a lifetime contract.

After Alan Partridge, surely the chat show should have been abolished.

I’ve liked Peter Kay ever since he was interviewed by Clare Balding on Grand National day a few years ago.He was very funny.

    JR isn’t too bad either.IMO.

I think Peter Kay is brilliant. In fact, I’m going to see him next year.

    Leaving the BBC

With all the rumours that have been flying around I, am not all that surprised.

I.M.H.O., I always thought that he had little to offer
    and was overpaid.

That’s one less unnecessary expenditure for my licence fee to be wasted on.

One down – still a hell of a lot more to go though

    It’s not all good news.

Pretentious, angular-haired, gob-shite Mark Kermode is apparently being lined-up for Film 2010.

Is he that fanny that has his head up his own ass and has a haircut as if he’s hanging about a 1950’s American diner ?

Yes; but he loves the cinema with a passion. We went to see Barry Norman at a local theatre a few years ago thinking he would be really interesting, but he was just pretentious and boring and up his own…..would much rather listen to Mr Kermode any day.

I would certainly rather listen to Kermode than Ross anyday.

I will have to start another thread:- "Which presenter(s) would you "fire" from the BBC?"

Fair enough Moe. I’d rather use IMBD than listen to him all the same. I watched ‘Looking for Eric’ the other day and i liked that. Two good British films in a row, the one before that being ‘dead mans shoes’. Now i’m no film critic, but i bet you’d enjoy ’em. I just think a good film is a good film.

Overpaid, yes but also entertaining. His radio 2 show on a Saturday morning is very good, plenty laughs and some good music.

That said the Sachs thing was inexcusable really.

Claudia Winkleman is the new replacement for Ross on "Film 2010".
