My favourite race at the meeting and AGE OF AQUARIUS will surely get the win he so richly deserves.
He’s not going to come up against anything remotely resembling Harbinger, Rite Of Passage or Profound Beauty tomorrow although strick reading of the form book would suggest Tactic has his beating, one needs to read between the lines and take the form on paper with a huge pinch of salt.
Profound Beauty was found to be in season when given a very easy race behind Tactic at the Curragh. She didn’t like the fast ground and probably ran about a stone below her best form and didn’t get a mare’s allowance either.
Tactic looks good for runner-up spot however.July 28, 2010 at 18:09 #309441think frankie will get his first win tommorow. kitewood.
July 28, 2010 at 19:44 #309471go luca go.

Frankie said yesterday that Kite Wood was his best chance of a winner this week, but he looks up against it with Age Of Aquarius in terrific form.
If he kicks early a la Yeats, he’ll win by a street.

2nd..Kite Wood.
3rd..Purple Moon
picks based on sire.July 28, 2010 at 21:47 #309516Tactic
looks to be thriving and will relish every yard of what’s certain to be a truly run two miles.
His beating of Profound Beauty was franked in good style and I’m quite excited about his chances here.
July 29, 2010 at 10:26 #309599Seeing as Profound Beauty’s beating of Age of Aquarious was on Good to Firm, i don’t agree with the opening posters logic.
July 29, 2010 at 11:07 #309611Tactic and AoA are slooooooooooow boats
Purple Moon

Purple Moon is massive at 7-1 imo,
Horses that win this race are generally have targets like Ascot Gold Cup the following year, Prix Cadran, Prix Royal Oak, Irish Ledger, Melbourne Cup.Tactic is a very good horse but I don’t think he’ll be able to sustain his effort with challengers from the rear on this fast ground, he’s up against the quality stayers now who’ll be pushing him over on route to bigger things.
For me, Cumani will goto Melbourne Cup with Purple Moon again, race will suit him on this ground and if he’s to have any chance at the bir races then he must win this or go agonisingly close.
Kite Wood for me ground will be too quick for him and likely to be withdrawn,
AOA – DANGER
July 29, 2010 at 12:16 #309636I’ll have an ew bet on Free Agent in this.
GL all.
July 29, 2010 at 14:39 #309679Mixed emotions here. Poor AOA – hope he’s ok. Tactic never went a yard, and the race was over 3 seconds after the gate opened. A lucky winner? Well done all the wacky course specialist backers – I’ll never get to the bottom of that one.
July 29, 2010 at 15:06 #309687What a distressing sight, a potential champion breaking down while at the peak of his game, let’s hope he recovers and leads a long and happy life
July 29, 2010 at 15:21 #309688Someone at the course said he was able to walk into the horse ambulance and has suffered a probable career ending injury but doesn’t seem life threatening.

I really hope he’s o.k.
I never saw the race and i’m happy cause it’s genuinely sad when a horse is injured and backers moan and swear. It makes me really angry. Hope he’s able to play in the field and enjoy himself for a long time.
