    Having had a good look round it seems as if to win at this game you need an Edge. I’ve never really understood what it meant, but I’ve always been very impressed by those that claim to have one – so I thought I’d give it a go and try and get one myself.

    This is a simple little system but unfortunately selections are not known until 2 mins before the off, so I can only post ‘selections of interest’ & results. I can’t be bothered to paper-trial thingy – so it’s a straight £20.00 bank head down, ass up, all-in.

    Stakes shall be £1.00 progressive, adjusted to suit BF minimun

    The first selection was Sands Cooner in the 4.55 at HQ – which lost :D
    Next selection looks like Souter Point in the 5.15 at Warwick.

    Ok that’s it for today but first just a couple of points:

    # To keep things simple as from start of play today the original bank has been withdrawn (plus the odd 77p) so we started the day on a profit of +£25.00 and now the balance shown on the BF Account Statement is the systems profit.
    # In order to compare I shall periodically calculate the systems returns to a £1.00 level win stake at bookies SP. At stumps today it was +£26.74 and the win S/R 34%
    # The current system S/R of 69% is approx 15% higher than I anticipated and I fully expect it to level out at about 54-56%ish before depreciating at about the rate of 1% per 500 bets as a result of luck being corrected by the system – but I could be wrong.
    # The correct stake for Tabaret (5.30 York) should of been £3.00 at BFSP and I incorrectly staked £2.00. I was going to attempt to correct this hench the further Back & Lay, but having decided against it nevertheless still made a gross .09p on the trade which should be deducted from the systems balance.
    # Can anyone explain how a dude with shades gets on to the BF Account Statement?

    As we all know ‘work is the curse of the drinking and gambling man’. So, rather fortunately I’ve been given six weeks to write a report at work that I should be able to knock out in a couple days. Not that that matters, as no one reads them and they most certainly don’t act on them. :D

    But, it does give me time to pick this up again.

    Having started with a bank of £20.00 and returned a profit of £70.76, this time we start with a bank of £50.00. Once again any selections will not be known until around 5-10 mins before the off – ‘

    Have you not heard of that madman who lit a lantern in the bright morning hours, ran to the market place and cried incessantly: ‘I am looking for Form! I am looking for Form!…where has Form gone? he cried. ‘I shall tell you. We have killed it – you and I’….’

    The approach this time is slightly different but, it should be clear to all what I’m doing here.

    In terms of outcome I shall be looking for a 36-40% S/R and ROI of approx 3.5 – 4.0%. Alternatively, it may go all tits up today in which case I’ll have to find something else to do for the next few weeks :D

    Ok, that’s it for today and the system made a profit of £47.37 so in total the system on this thread has made a profit of £428.21 But, as no one is interested :D I won’t bore you by posting the details.

    It’s only ever been a bit fun and keeps me out of trouble but hopefully may have given someone something to think about – I don’t know.

    So, I shall continue this on my own. Should I still be in profit at the end of the year I intend to blow the lot on a day out at the races with the two people on TRF that have helped me out along the way – dave jay & Formath along with a couple of Dolly-Birds (each).

    Until then I’m off. I think this is something like my 1300th post, and perhaps other than this thread I can’t think of anything worthwhile that I’ve posted :D – so I’m gonna go and find something else to waste my time on.
