An excercise to try and double a bank of 500 points in a two week period will I think help brighten up some of the days ahead hopefully.
Although the selections that will be posted under this header are not selected by way of a sysytem I did not wish to post these selections in any other Forum heading, so I hope Matron will not spank me!!. ;)
Firstly, these do not come along everyday so there will be days where nothing can be found.
Secondly, a decent strike rate will have to be acheived in order to reach the target.
Thirdly, all the selections will be taken down AFTER each race is run.
September 10, 2004 at 19:55 #55095Hi Robotica,
Unlucky today with 2 seconds mate. :(
I’m interested in your 1st post, where you make the point that these aren’t being chosen using a system. I know what you mean, but all of us probably use a selection ‘method’ – even sticking a pin in the paper is a ‘method’!
It’s only a short step from a method to a system. ;)
September 10, 2004 at 21:39 #55097Hi Snowman.
It’s the act of not taking that small step that makes a lot of difference.
September 24, 2004 at 09:00 #55100Hi Robotica,
I know the original two week period has elapsed but there are still 270 points in your bank. Are you waiting for an opportunity? You did forewarn that these aren’t a daily thing, or is this one a no go?
October 17, 2004 at 09:17 #55102Hi Snow.
Sorry I did not reply to your last posting, I did not see it, you know I would not ignore you, ;).
There have been many selections since I last posted on this thread, I did think that it was not popular after the two week period.
However, always up for a challenge I will carry on until the end of the current flat season and see what happens. The 1000 points will be made.
October 17, 2004 at 09:20 #55105Bet NO:5
Musselburgh 3.0 N/R (70 points)
I have been out for the day and I wished I had known this was a N/R as I would have replaced it with one in Italy.

October 17, 2004 at 12:35 #55106Robotica,
Good luck with your quest for 1000 points, it’ll take some doing.
Do you have any preferences when making your selections and any staking plan?
October 17, 2004 at 17:41 #55109Hi Artemis.
I have no staking plan in place for the "method" I feel that there is no need for one as the strike rate is usually, well, lets wait and see what it will turn up over the next couple of weeks.
The selections are made on a well known method, although some have different interpretations.
There are still a few weeks left to reach the 1000+ target.

October 17, 2004 at 18:04 #55110Robotica,
Is this well known method a secret? I’m sorry to be a bit nosey, but I think the idea is that we discuss systems and betting methods, so we need a bit of information, otherwise it is just ‘tips’.
October 17, 2004 at 20:46 #55111Artemis.
If you feel the need for more information on the selected horses within this particular thread, it would be an excercise to note the selections as a couple of others do and try and work them out, the answers will not come from myself.
However, if you feel that this is just another tipping thread and it is not your cup of tea, we each have the right to choose what we read. Please remember this is an excercise as I stated in the very first posting.
October 18, 2004 at 08:22 #55113Robotica,
Fair enough, I respect your right not to reveal your sources. I just cannot understand the reasons for secrecy on the forum. Anyone that has a secret worth keeping just wouldn’t post on here.
October 18, 2004 at 09:42 #55115Artemis.
Have you also picked up on the fact that the criteria for the One-A-Day "system" is also not publicly aired?.
Your last statement "Anyone that has a secret worth keeping just wouldn’t post on here" is a false one as there are a few good threads on this site worth noting.
For example "Make Your Own Ratings" is an excellent example for one. We each have our own individual way of finding winners and no path is the wrong one, if it is profitable, so your ratings explanation would be a gold mine to many.
I feel that you have not quite caught the spirit of the thread "it is an excecise". There are no secrets, it is just my own individual way of making some entertainment in order to help brighten up the forum.
As far as I recall the only secrets in racing are kept between the trainers and "some" owners.
I would also like to ask a couple of questions if I may, as you have previously stated on your thread that you were a bookmaker.
Why is it denied throughout the bookmaking industry that sharps list do not exist?.
Is it not possible for a punter to set up a liason with an indipendant bookmaker in order that the punter could get his wagers taken and then the bookmaker can lay them off and make some for himself in the process. The reason I ask, is this, I have tried for a long time to forge such a relationship, but no they just will not take your wagers and thats that, you just get the cold shoulder and cannot get your wagers on anywhere. Thank christ for the exchanges is all I can say.
It is my opinion that there are no longer any bookmakers, they are all now % men. They are running scared if someone wishes to have a £5,000 wager, even the so called big boys.
Is not the role of a bookmaker to take punters money acting as a middle man, and whatever the outcome of a race they make a profit?. It now appears that this has changed to we want to keep "all" the money, "all" of the time.
