Here are The Daylight Cup league tables, they will be fully updated each week after the 4pp competition scores are known so you can all see where you stand.
I hope you will all appreciate this competition and take time out to remember our very good friend Craig who brought us all together via this wonderful forum.

December 13, 2006 at 23:53 #97328Top job JTS :)
December 14, 2006 at 00:59 #97329Great stuff Jim.
December 16, 2006 at 10:30 #97331Nice One Jim, many thanks
January 3, 2007 at 19:10 #97332Group tables are now up to date… :comp1:
January 4, 2007 at 20:55 #97333Good stuff Jim – although Group 14 now makes grim reading for yours truly.
January 18, 2007 at 19:45 #97336Its hard work is this Group 5. My luck will run out soon I’m sure as I’m barely keeping up as it is, and they are thanks to a few sneaky wins- why do I get put with a bunch of pros (and Grasshopper:biggrin: ) anyway? :noway:
And you can still win Corm can’t you – you just need to keep the momentum going.
Great to see such friendly competition – everyone wants to win The Daylight Cup and I’m sure Craig would love the competition and idea behind it.
January 30, 2007 at 01:51 #97337Group 5 is like the tightest group ever! (and Grasshopper ;)). C’mon Corm it doesn’t look good if you are out first round LOL.
I see TRF Poker players HJ and Roland are going well. Nice one!:)
February 2, 2007 at 03:33 #97338I wonder if anyone could create a book for the final 32?
That would be kinda fun, and add an incentive to be a ‘fancied contender’ :)
Ted would have to be the fav in my book. I’d put him in as short as 7/4 to take the title. He takes no hostages and is a bold front runner. I’d rate him 124+ ;)
February 2, 2007 at 10:09 #97340Alright I will RD when the qualifiers are known. You’d be better getting someone who is actually a professional odds compiler, but I don’t mind making a fool of myself. (Besides which I probably won’t even qualify so it’ll make things easier.
February 2, 2007 at 10:27 #973417/4 in a 32 runner field RD? Tight git lol, can’t have any favourite lower than 3/1.
February 2, 2007 at 11:54 #97344Think of it like a Maiden Hurdle FSL :)
I reckon there will be a few 66/1 shots. You might be right though, 7/4 is a bit short. Call it 15/8?
February 2, 2007 at 13:12 #97346you can have 3/1 with me if you want. Grimes has got to be vying for favourtism on sheer number of points accumulated.
February 2, 2007 at 17:47 #97347Alright Racing Daily, careful what you wish for! THe following is betting for the Daylight Cup based on EVERYONE who can still qualify. PS big o/r = big profits ;) (2% per runner because I didn’t want to offend anybody!)
Didn’t realise Grimes wasn’t in it btw!
Ted 9/2
Non Vintage 7/1
Bob Rolf 7/1
Den S 10/1 (He scored 82 last week :o )
Racing Daily 11/1
Roland 11/1
Pat123 11/1
Trigger 11/1
Bampi 11/1
Matty 16/1
Merlinthemagician 16/1
FlatSeasonLover 16/1 (far too short)
Doyley 16/1
Jaslang 16/1
Merve The Swerve 20/1
Baggie321 20/1
Treggy 20/1
Colin Little 20/1 – (5th highest points ranking in 4PP)
Happy Jack 20/1
Harry The Wragg 20/1
Bertie 20/1
Brian D 20/1
JohnnyB 25/1
Andrew Saunders 25/1
Ray H 25/1
Zandor 28/1
Absolution 28/1
Mister Cee 30/1
Vikingflagship 30/1
Mick Slade 33/1
Keith Reed 33/1
Wizz 33/1
Kevin 40/1
Neil Anderson 40/1
Perry 40/1
Slater 50/1
Quick Away 50/1
John Williams 50/1
Weyayeman 50/1
Cormack15 50/1
Tetleys 50/1
Justbetting 50/1
Deano H 50/1
Grundy 50/1
Perpetual 50/1
Stav 66/1
Dvds2000 66/1
Chrissy 66/1
Manu Girl 66/1
Rainman 80/1
SteveH 100/1
JimJTS 100/1
Michael Walsh 100/1
Ozie 100/1
Jordon 250/1
The Wizard 250/1
Wingandaprayer 250/1
Waltertaws 250/1
Raycyn28 333/1 (doesn’t look promising)
Grey Desire 333/1 (sorry but is it mathematically possible?)
Grasshopper 10000/1 (ditto above)
February 2, 2007 at 23:02 #97349Nice one FSL – Some tasty looking prices there.
My 50/1 would be tempting but I can only qualify if I beat SteveH tomorrow, Keith Reed loses to Racing Daily next week and Colin Little doesn’t win his remaining two matches!
From our group Colin looks a little underpriced at 20/1 given he needs to win both his last two group games and needs Keith to slip up also. I’d say Keith at 33/1 is a fair shout. Good form in 4pp and even if he doesn’t take anything from his game next week could still qualify. If he does get through that 33/1 will look big.
Once it gets to the last 32 and the two legged knock out stage it could be very open and I’d be looking for an oustider at this stage – There’s a fair chance that either DVDS or Stav (cough), or even both, could get through in Gr 1 and at 66/1 a small wager on both of those might pay dividends.
February 3, 2007 at 02:26 #97350Well I did have a small problem in that only about 5 people have actually qualified! There are some big prices, but I referred to the actual raw scores in the 4PP obviously and it looks like some people have been getting an easy time of it!
Your group looks tough Corm yes, I’ll have another look at Colins price though I am loathe to edit my post. You didn’t exactly give me the look of the draw though either!
I wouldn’t be lumping on those two Corm, because if the ground is heavy then there go the speed figures out the window! (sorry couldn’t resist)
February 3, 2007 at 02:49 #97351Absolution looks long at 28s. Harry The Wragg ain’t no mug either Thar be value in them odds, thar be.
11/1 about me? Did Tom Segal tip me up or something? ;)
