Footy Season…..
I’ll be donating myself five quid a week plus twenty for Paddy’s top goal scorer market with the two nugget free bet offer for each goal scored would be rude not to.
Nothing too serious just a few fun bets to get me through the season.
I’ll also use this thread for taking the piddle out of the game so feel free to join in…..Blackbeard to conquer the World
July 31, 2015 at 10:05 #1152381Regarding the top goalscorer I’ll probably go each way on Aguero at 3/1. He’s likely to be rested for the initial kick off and as long as he doesn’t get a long term injury he is banker material to finish in the top 4. RVP was a awful pick last year he couldn’t score in a night club wearing a David Beckham mask and a pocket full of Viagra. Costa is a threat but is a loopy head case and one incident away from a lengthy ban. Kane is always in the right place at the right time but second season is normally always harder and Spurs are sh!te. Sanchez is a great price at 20’s but sadly 16’s with Paddy but is under consideration as the each way part pays but will he score enough to challenge the win part? Sturridge is also a decent price but needs fitness and has become a bit of a sick note and L’Pool have an abundance of forwards and he will possibly be looked after. Aguero looks the obvious choice but I’ll give myself a few days to suss out between him and Sanchez. I think Sterling’s pace could create a lot of room for Aguero and expect City and Arsenal to be top scorers this season. At present I’m thinking Aguero as Sanchez is a bit more of a team player and can drop deeper.

July 31, 2015 at 20:44 #1152462I cant see Chelsea changing a winning formula, they conceded the least amount of goals last season and old moaning Mourhino just loves to go a goal or two clear and get out his bus pass and park it. Costa and Hazard will score plenty but they wont jeopardise themselves or leave themselves open for other teams to get back into matches which is what makes Mourhino more tactically astute then the chaps at City or Arsenal who both have a weakness in defence so instead of protecting they go with the attitude of you score two we’ll get three, which is great to watch but can kill you if you go behind against a stubborn side that can counter attack. I’m taking City to edge out Arsenal on the goals scored department the signing of Sterling who has been much criticised is a very good one as he will open up defences with his pace and the likes of Silva and Aguero can profit from. Toure will chip in with plenty and unlike Chelsea they tend to be ruthless when in a commanding position in games. The 7/4 with betvictor looks outstanding value to my eye.

July 31, 2015 at 21:27 #1152480Only one choice regarding Paddy’s offer.
Injury will play a part and Aguero possibly will miss the start anyway due to the manager thinking he needs 365 days off.
but the same logic applies to all players with-whom none are made of steel these days unlike Tommy Smith and, and, and Julian Dicks were when I were a nipper…..
Anyway we should get at least our money back in free bets as he only needs to net the ten for that and he’ll get them in penalty kicks. I’ve gone each way as this is a fun thread and any returns for my donations are gratefully received.Top Shooter – Sergio Aguero (Man City) @ 3/1

August 1, 2015 at 12:08 #1152893The newspapers report Aston Villa have spent some of the fortune from the sell of Christian Beneteke to Liverpool.
It revels the owner has given permission for Tim Sherwood to sign Jordan Veretout and Rudy Gestede but they the newspapers conveniently forgot to print the latest that owner Randy Lerner has also purchased for himself a yacht, Rolls Royce, around the world cruise, top of the range home improvements, a new wardrobe’s worth of suits, a baseball bat and cap, surf board, skateboard, box of chocolates, can of irn bru and a packet of haribo starmix…..Blackbeard to conquer the World
August 2, 2015 at 09:16 #1155128It can’t be a worse striker season than last year, Soldado, Giroud, Van Persie, only Kane really shone.
Hopefully they will have chosen better this year.

August 2, 2015 at 15:46 #1155762I should of known better than going for RVP last year as he was crap in the World Cup and really looked unfit and that continued throughout the season, my thinking was that with them not being in Europe the extra rest and only Premiership games would see him get into form but that never happened and even Rooney took the penalties which was another blow.

August 2, 2015 at 15:51 #1155772No idea who you are Nathan, but hat’s off to yoy.
Fair play to Paddy Power etc. I don’t know why the sheep bet with Lads, Hills, Coral et al. Though I answered my own question, sheep
August 2, 2015 at 15:57 #1155774I only use PaddyPower for horses and footy, the others just are streets behind.
I might use my £20 on Kane and hope he continues to improve but not sure Spurs will be up there to say for sure.
August 2, 2015 at 16:22 #1155848Kane’s has established himself there now as the main striker and I see no reason as why he shouldn’t continue his place in the England set up which will feel him with confidence. He seems to be in the right place at the right time so either he has excellent positional awareness or he was very lucky. Was he the penalty taker? That usually helps. 14’s is a good price on last years form. Would you go each way or win only?

August 3, 2015 at 14:04 #1157749I always struggle to get an angle on the Premiership and see the value in the football league.
I am on Middlesboro e/w 6/1 first 4 at 1/4 odds – think this is a terrific bet.
August 3, 2015 at 22:49 #1158547Hi Wasp, I see this is your first post, welcome to the forum.
Middlesboro eh, your not MikkyMo or OneEye in disguise are you?
I haven’t had a proper look at the Championship for betting wise proposes as I still haven’t got over Derby going down hill quicker than Jack and Jill on a slippery day. Middlesboro were solid defensively last season and I think Daniel Ayala is a top class centre back. Will Bampford be there this season or have they got any other new options attacking wise if not as he looked the main threat going forward? Good luck with your bet Wasp if anything they wont be too far away from the top 4.Blackbeard to conquer the World
August 4, 2015 at 10:26 #1159422Bamford has gone to Crystal Palace so a loss to Boro (and my bet!) – Downing has resigned as has Woodgate and I’m hopeful they will get Jordan Rhodes by deadline day. If they get Rhodes I will go in again. Derby look interesting again but with a new man at the helm I’m not so sure. However they have made good additions and I may take the 6/1 ( e/w Top 4) on offer.
Came across this site while trying to widen my horse racing knowledge. Been gambling on football for years but horses only for 2 years. Whilst having a reasonable return on the jumps I have struggled on the flat. However its all small stakes till I make less mistakes!
Top 6 Ipswich – taken the last of the 11/4 on offer. Strengthened well and have one of the best home records in the division, a home record that should see them thereabouts
August 4, 2015 at 21:49 #1160351betvictor are a standout 25/1 on Charlie Austin as the championship top scorer this would be a knocking bet only if taking it you’ve got two transfers windows of biting your nails, he’d get 30 minimum. Of the others I reckon Chris Martin 14’S moved up a notch in his game and Derby’s poor run coincided with him getting injured. Darren Bent 14’s is a Premier League striker playing Championship football, depending on formations and squad rotation those two will be in with a shout. Jordon Rhodes 12/1 (skybet last standing)is one of the favourites and a move to Middlesboro would certainly help his chances. Daryl Murphy 16’s (coral last standing) is the one that has got me thinking. He had his most prolific season last term and the way Ipswich play they always seem to score and play with an attacking mind set. Adam Le Fonde 40/1 is a long shot but has goals in him if consistently playing and will spend the year with Wolves.

August 5, 2015 at 07:07 #1161257The conundrum of top scorer is too risky with the transfer windows and injuries so I’ve decided to have a go with Derby for the Championship with Sky Bet paying 4 places. They lost all momentum at the end of last season but still retain a decent squad and are even stronger with Weimann added this season and Thorne back from missing most of last year. Should get a run for our money. I see Nottingham Forest chairman was photographed with a rifle and a Rams head in his arms. Derby’s chairman has counter attacked and is already on his way to Sherwood forest armed with an axe he said ‘I’ll see you all in 2023 once I chop down every last one’
Championship – Derby 6/1 £2.50 each way skybet 1/4 odds 1,2,3,4
