My son such as he is sent pm’s on Instagram to a load of reality stars (people) asking what their favourite cake was.
Surprisingly he got a high percentage of replies.
more surprisingly one of the answers which ended up in the top 3 was Red Velvet cake
Intrigued I bought myself one and was less than impressed
in a premier league of cakes this one would be favourites for relegation in my book

Anyway the question is – What is your favourite cake?

    Coffee cake for me

So would be the perfect cake 🎂 plus three or four candles

🐢… I’d take it to the limit and have five – but it would be a Grasshopper heavy herb content cake for me and my slow delectation.

A lemon puff cake – you’re an absolute genius Nathan and you could certainly get high on that – about half a mile I’d say. Just popping out for a coffee – and that cake will be on my mind (sorry Moe)

Why does everything need to be a vehicle for “getting high?”

What’s wrong with a nice cup of coffee and a biscuit? (and I don’t mean a hash cookie!)

    Honestly.

As a chocoholic, I would have to say a chocolate fudge cake. Honourable mentions to carrot cake and indeed the humble Victoria sponge.

Not a bad patent Dickie, you got two sticky winners and just the Sponge that let you down trailing in a jammy 5th. Lemon Drizzle is apparently the googoo cake of choice.

I think the reason that I eat so much cake of any variety is that I was once told as a young man – ‘You can’t have your cake and eat it’ Well I’ve proved that sucker wrong! As the scales will testify

It has to be a rich fruit cake for me, although there are very few cakes I would actually decline, probably only coffee cake as an absolute no-no but that’s because I don’t like coffee or, more accurately, coffee doesn’t like me.
