Watched the 3:10 at Warwick today and was taken with this 5yo. Did the job quite nicely in the end and although in receipt of 21lb from the second I think it was a smart performance considering the two bad mistakes in the back straight, one of which I was surprised he survived. Once again in receipt of a lot of weight, could someone give me an idea what 21lb on Heavyish ground over 2m4f is worth? Thanks in advance.
January 25, 2007 at 23:39 #3671421lbs is a lot of weight to be receiving on heavy ground. I would want to see it run off levels or close to that before making a judgment on it.
January 27, 2007 at 18:24 #36715Bear in mind also that the Pipe mare Inch Pride wasn’t especially resolute in a fight – even once they’d drawn level again I suspect you’d have got goods odds about her subsiding to a 16l defeat.
