yeah. I think alot of this is based on the fact about what he does at home.

March 9, 2006 at 13:59 #69174Jackane…i havent a clue what your point is
Is he the only flat bred horse in the race or something?
The group 2 win is significant i believe and its clear that he is impressing at home. But not at that price…
How it can be a "banker" is what baffles me.
March 9, 2006 at 14:00 #69175Irish Stamp, you are stepping on exactly the point I’m making in my article.
Arcalis and French Ballerina are the only really good flat horses who won the Supreme Nov since 95. Arcalis won the John Smith’s HCap and has a total of 145k in winnings on the flat. French Ballerina won 6 races totalling 60k i think.
Sweet Wake won a Group 2, and was considered good enough to run in the Derby, finished 48L behind and last but one, but was running in the mud, and guess who won – Shirocco.
Crow Wood has similarly been good on the flat, racking up around 145k in prize money.
March 9, 2006 at 14:01 #69176He and Crow Wood are the only good horses on the flat who are now good hurdlers. That is my point.

What is your article exactly and where can we find it?
March 9, 2006 at 14:09 #69178I voted for Quatres Heures, but i really dont know why to be honest. He looks a very nice horse but the way Mullin’s has spoke about him, he may need proper soft ground.
Does anyone know if Orcoridan is going – if he turns up i will probably back him E/W at a nice price. If not its a no bet race for me.
Dont Fancy Sweet Wake at that price. He’s another Harchibald in my opinion.
March 9, 2006 at 14:40 #69179Sweet Wake has done nothing to say he should be anyone’s banker. For me, the only reason anyone has for backing him heavy is the hype from connections.
Sure, he looks good, and I still can’t find one to take him on with, but will be reluctant to part with cash at extremely cramped odds.
Rasharrow hasn’t done a lot wrong … Bumper 3rd, beaten a length, won a few novice races and close up behind Royal Shakespeare at Sandown. David Brady could be a superstar yet …
March 9, 2006 at 14:46 #69180Rasharrow has certainly got me thinking here….
I like the fact that hes had some decent experience now too
March 9, 2006 at 14:47 #69181Hello,
Good flat form, JAZZ MESSENGER may have a squeek, has been running well in lesser races’, will it be up to this ?? 33/1 a very attractive price.
regards,
doyley
March 9, 2006 at 14:53 #69182I think Meade may keep it for Aintree Doyley.
March 9, 2006 at 16:28 #69183Davidbrady – writing it to send off to RP editor Chris Smith with a letter of thanks for his response to my job application. Will Pm you it when done. Probably tomorrow. But thanks for your interest!!
March 9, 2006 at 16:51 #69184To those that fancy Rasharrow I would ask
if these horses were entered/qualified would you fancy them and what price would they be?
Alph<br>Royal Shakespare
March 9, 2006 at 17:21 #69185DJ I would like Alph if it ran but would say 25/1.
March 9, 2006 at 23:56 #69186What’s the other people are voting for?
March 10, 2006 at 10:02 #69187Not quite sure what you mean there DJ. Seemed like a respectable enough run against more experienced rivals which could be the sort of valuable experience that the hype horses lack
Not saying hes my choice, but hes a big price
March 10, 2006 at 10:16 #69188Sweet wake is a very very false favourite . He won a bad race in Naas that was even falsly Run. If he wins well then it has been a very poor renewal of the race.
March 10, 2006 at 10:31 #69189Sweet wake is heavily hyped by trainer and jockey
Not really interested in listening to Carberry but whats Meades form on this sort of stuff?
Cant say im sure either way here
Some trainers id rather ignore when this happens but others are worth listening too
