Ballyadam clearly has a lot of ability
Will need to get a bit slicker at his hurdles if hes going to win this though
November 29, 2020 at 15:42 #1512571Elliot said post race this is definitely ballyadams target
November 29, 2020 at 16:07 #1512574Yep FF91, music to my ears. No hesitation, no pause, Ballyadam comes here. I’ve covered for the Ballymore just in case, but its excellent news for my book
November 29, 2020 at 19:56 #1512590Ive not seen a quote that he’s deffo coming here Ff91? Where did you see it?
November 29, 2020 at 21:57 #1512598Interview on Racingtv
I am going to be trying to get a nice double rolling on to ferny hollow
I feel having ballyadam and ferny on side at big prices is a strong position to be in at this stage
November 30, 2020 at 08:10 #1512612Ted Walsh apparently said on RTE that the bookmakers quoting 13-2 about Ballyadam for the Supreme following his Royal Bond Novice Hurdle victory should “be thrown into jail for robbing”.
November 30, 2020 at 18:06 #1512657I wouldn’t be rushing to take 13/2 but its certainly not criminal. Ted Walsh is always saying stuff like this – the other day in the RP he said Flyingbolt would ‘have eaten Arkle’
December 5, 2020 at 19:56 #1513237Rumours that ferny is injured
December 6, 2020 at 22:57 #1513388Magic Tricks made a pleasing hurdling debut for Gordon Elliott Saturday in a race that’s been known to throw up a decent type or two. Seems he may have gone under the radar and 33/1 is freely available, although quite how much is left once I’m through with him is another matter
December 7, 2020 at 22:39 #1513462Agree with TW, ballyadam is a horrible price for this, division looks poor as of now (assuming theres still some to come out) and im guessing its for that reason hes as short as he is, because its not on what hes shown, the royal bond was a grade 1 by name but nowhere near in quality. So hes joint fav by default for me,
Id be avoiding him at all costs for now until after christmas in the FCNH at christmas
December 8, 2020 at 08:32 #1513508Ballyadam is 8/1 Ham, what price should he be in your opinion?
December 8, 2020 at 11:27 #1513524For only his second run over hurdles it’s hard to knock him too much for his royal bond performance
Maybe he beat no superstars but he travelled beautifully and showed a good turn of foot to effortlessly kick clear
Problem is his jumping cost him crucial momentum 2 or 3 times, including at the last which stopped him from clearing away.
People were expecting another envoi allen after the stable hype which doesn’t appear to be the case.
But in a market where he’s the only grade 1 winner and won his maiden hurdle by 12 lengths its no surprise hes fav
Its a funny market really as we are yet to see many horses who I immediately thought after seeing them that they’d go close in a supreme.
December 8, 2020 at 11:41 #1513525I’d agree with all of that FF91 – my question to Ham was more out of curiosity than anything else as it’s quite a hard market to price up.
December 8, 2020 at 11:42 #1513526Not much love for Dusart on here. I’m a sectionals believer and was fairly dazzled by what I saw at Newbury – seriously impressive numbers for a lifetime debut. Extra credit with Hendo not firing on all cylinders yet.
Perhaps one that has gone under the radar a little with Flinteur Sacre bombing out?
December 20, 2020 at 13:26 #1514799sportsbook are doing cash out on Ferny Hollow at the moment
No such luck with SkybetBlackbeard to conquer the World
December 20, 2020 at 13:33 #1514801Managed to get the cash out done. Shame as I really fancied him. Hopefully he makes a good recovery from his injury.
December 26, 2020 at 23:52 #1515315Considering the lack of depth in it so far charlie nothing should be shorter than 14-16/1 without NRNB, given the fact that he and appreciate it are tied in the market tomorrow and appreciate it is 16/1 for this and he is 6/1. That alone is enough, market has 0 liquidity and he is favourite by default.
Now, if he wins tomorrow then 6/1 is a fair price without NRNB some firms will go NRNB shortly and then he can be as short as they like.
But i dont understand the fear he has in the market this far out, cant see why anyone would back anything in this race under 10/1 this season without NRNB (not that i like NRNB in the slightest but atleast you have insurance)
