Edwardstone will be my sole bet in this. If he settles better I can see a big run at a very attractive price.

I also like Edwardstone at the prices. He won against Fiddlerontheroof and Harry Senior with a decent turn of foot. I think he was a bit unlucky at Haydock the last time out. Basically hit the front too soon and got passed by the staying on Stolen Silver. 28/1 at the exchanges, fair price. I give Shishkin the best chance, really like how he sprinted away in his races.

He may not be a stable superstar but with the cut in the ground I’ve put a bit on Elixir d’Ainay at 25s EW and will probably go back for more places tomorrow.
He ran too free over a longer trip at the DRF so I’m hoping that the drop back to a strongly run 2 miles helps.

He has won and been placed at Naas so copes with an undulating track and a hill finish too.

Elixir didnt run his race last day and I think he is better than that. However he looks like he needs further to me?

GAG, he’d be one i’d be tempted with as well. Form with Envoi ties in ok. It’s a proper minefield of a race punting wise though.

If I had common sense I wouldnt play the race , I haven’t yet ….if there’s more rain today I reckon I’ll be looking for something guaranteed to stay a bit farther

Not involved antepost so have taken the 7/2 against Shishkin best odds guaranteed with Fred. I think that is fair. If he is within striking distance at the last, I really think nothing will live with him. Can see Chantry House chasing him home for a Henderson 1-2.

Asterion Forlonge is my selection here, but it’s a very tough race to call + he is not a confident call

Abacadabras is the one for money this morning. Punters have gone for experience, second to Envoi Allen reads well. But why is Shiskin so big? Money for both stable and owner cpompanions?

Am on Shishkin, Fiddlerontheroof and (like many TRFers) Edwardstone with a saver on Asteroin.

Shiskin will win the arkle next year I have no doubt about that
