Any idea of the time chaps?
March 13, 2018 at 13:55 #1346177That is some tough horse, and what a bonus it must be to have Noel Fehilly
on board. Well done Degaussed, Steve and all other backers.
I’m pleased enough with Mengli Khan’s place, just beaten by 2 better horses.March 13, 2018 at 13:57 #1346179WD to everyone who had the winner and nice to see horses not from the monster stables fighting out the finish.
Thought Summerville Boy had totally stuffed his chance with the bad mistake, great attitude to get up and Kalashnikov very brave too.

4 minutes and 5 seconds exactly according to RP.
March 13, 2018 at 17:47 #1346269Thanks to whoever put up that Corals did £25 risk free bet, stuck it on winner!
Sensational performance for me…form might be questionable, but the amount that transpired in front of SB with Getabird bumping him, and making him fall back, also some bad jumps in there…to win was very good indeed for me.
Some engine, interesting what’s next for him, presume going by who the trainer is, he’ll be chasing.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!March 13, 2018 at 17:58 #1346272I wouldn’t doubt that form at all. Exact same time as the Champion Hurdle when carrying 3lbs less.
Will be interesting what happens with Summerville Boy. He’s not a great jumper of a hurdler, so I wonder if they will take him chasing?
March 13, 2018 at 21:58 #1346315I don’t want to overate the performance but wow, he got shuffled back then made a mistake and still won. That took some guts. Feel sorry for Kalashnikov, he’s a horse that is getting encouragement to go from further out than most, but sticks his head down and responds. He had to win the race twice and just didn’t have the reserves.
Getabird was a head scratcher, Owner said he was too keen. But i think theres something else that could come to light.
March 13, 2018 at 22:13 #1346317Fehily won the race. Quinlan was unbalanced at times, not really driving his mount forward like the winner.
He’ll learn. You have to keep faith with jockeys and not just give the the big days to the big boys.
