Tricky race, claimantakinforgan a worthy fav, but around evs hes short enough, given the fact thw ground is likely ro be heavy, hes giving weight away, not sure he will run even if he does theres plenty here to take him on with
First flow 11/2 Won really well LTO on testing ground, although im not certain he is a better horse than the fav, he will probably prefer the ground, does not have much to find on official ratings when you include the weight advantage over the fav, his form has worked out reasonably well
Ill also have a saver on waterlord 9/2 e/w Similar to first flow he won well LTO over course and distance, receiveing the weight advantage off the fav, his form also worked out reasonably well
will be surprised if either stay at the price for long, the fav is to short
January 19, 2018 at 11:44 #1338014Worked out pretty well so far with claimantakenforgan not declared, assuming it was the ground. Hopefully the meeting goes ahead now!
January 19, 2018 at 13:36 #1338025Midnight Shadow and, to some extent, Mcgowans Pass, hugely overpriced here.
I’d take 7/1 MS and 14 MP.
January 19, 2018 at 14:16 #1338029I think we can say one thing with utter certainty. None of these will be winning the supreme. A dire renewal. The champion hurdle trial is also totally irrelevant as far as the cheltenham festival is concerned as well, and has been for some years.
Maybe they should remove the title and call it “some sort of warm-up race for the also rans in that first race at the cheltenham festival, which will be won as usual on the snaff by an expensive french purchase of Rich Ricci”
January 19, 2018 at 23:00 #1338103Although i cant see any winning the supreme, theres a few nice types in here, might not be as bad as you think…
January 19, 2018 at 23:16 #1338110I agree with LostSoldier3. Midnight Shadow at 9/1 for me.
January 19, 2018 at 23:32 #1338113Managed to nick a bit of the 14’s earlier for Midnight Shadow. He looks seriously overpriced, and should have won both his last races. Maybe excuses for the Jockey back here, two runs back, but he shouldn’t have made the same mistake at Aintree. Bit more restraint here, and he could really give them something to think about.
January 20, 2018 at 08:36 #1338157Waterlord will win.
January 20, 2018 at 09:40 #1338166First Flow at 9/4 is my NAP across the cards today
January 20, 2018 at 11:48 #1338210Another First Flow fan here. I’ve been very impressed with him so far and he has solid form on the ground. Whilst I agree with Judge that there’s not a Supreme winner here but First Flow is a decent animal and I fancy him to take this well at odds of 9/4.
January 20, 2018 at 14:13 #1338264Get in there!
Ham i take my hat off to you Sir. I thought 9/4 was huge but 11/2 is just brilliant punting.
Had to laugh that the winner of the supreme trial womt even run at the festival.
January 20, 2018 at 14:14 #1338266Happy enough first flow, was always travelling the best, looked like he was going to do what he did 3 or 4 out, waterlord a touch disappointing and nearly nicked a place!
Glad there not taking him to cheltenham looks like he needs this type of ground
January 20, 2018 at 14:15 #1338268Cheers MoM and well done picking him out
January 20, 2018 at 14:16 #1338269well that was a well spent tenner. pathetic. should have known that mccain has gone at the game by now.
well done winners, well done mr racing himself ham (this seems to be a recurring theme
)winner looked impressive after hitting some of his early hurdles. looks a typical kim bailey type, no doubt he’ll be aiming him at the gold cup in the longer term.
January 20, 2018 at 14:18 #1338270Glad there not taking him to cheltenham looks like he needs this type of ground
ffs for the last time it’s they’re. ie an abbreviation of they and are.
amazing that someone who can’t even put a sentence together properly can do so well at punting.
shows that it’s not about intelligence.
January 20, 2018 at 14:19 #1338271A Grade 2 worth £17k to the winner is well worth running in regardless of whether you’re going on to the festival.
I would get rid of the trial from the title as well.
January 20, 2018 at 14:24 #1338273When you type on a phone its easier to just type as i do, rather than worry about punctuation or grammer or whatever judge, dont assume my intelligence from the way i abbreviate or type on a phone, stop being an idiot lol
