My selections in March made a profit of only 5 pts:( which means that I am now 79 pts in profit on the basis of level stakes/early prices obtained since I started on here 7 months ago.

As someone with a methodical and disciplined approach, do you ever lay off bets to take profit and what per centage price movement would you be looking for before selling or buying as the case might be?
(I’m sure it won’t be long before you’re again making those fat profits of last year)

Hi Zilzal – I do occasionally but only when I back a horse to win and not when I do each way. I did it yesterday with Celtic Carisma but it’s something I’m not too good at really. Do you do it at all?
Hopefully I’ll hit another lucky patch soon. I’m surprised more members don’t place their bets in advance on here – it certainly makes me concentrate more, stop complacency, control discipline etc and it’s the reason that I do it.
How’s your betting going ? This can be a difficult time of year sometimes imo.<br>
