In the 3:20 at Thurles there is a horse running called Hoochie Mama.
It is basically a pretty moderate hurdler who won a Naas staying hurdle off a rating of 90 in March, and is currently handicapped to a mark of 95 over hurdles.
However, 2 years ago, it ran in 3 chases with form of being beaten 90 lengths, 50 lengths and fell. Because Ireland treats hurdle and chase form separately, it has got in this race (a handicap chase) off a mark of 79, basically about a stone well in.
If it can jump OK, and is reasonably fit, this should win. It is currently 5/1, I’m expecting it to go off favourite.
Definitely worth a fiver of anyone’s money.
Every chance it’s a total dog but its the chance you take!
