Lord Glitters looks likely to run here, he has some very decent G1 & G2 form this season, dropping in grade, he will take all the beating.
The currently available 3/1 is well worth taking.
August 23, 2018 at 20:58 #1363975Nice price pants, price is long gone.
August 23, 2018 at 21:09 #1363979I took your advice Pants – cheers. Got 5/2 which looks nice now.
I like Lord Glitters but it isn’t a race I’d have looked at before the night before at all before I saw your post.
August 25, 2018 at 12:16 #1364346Cant believe the price of last years winner Mushashry out to 9/2 with various books
August 25, 2018 at 12:29 #1364352I really like Mustashry too, especially with the stable form in mind (6 wins and 5 seconds from last 20 runners).
Mustashry 9/2
Saver: Lord Glitters 15/8
August 25, 2018 at 12:34 #1364356I wanted to go in at 3s Charles, left it and now will back ew
GL to all who play
August 25, 2018 at 12:40 #1364361I contemplated e/w at 9/2 myself but went for a saver on the fav instead just in case Mustashry runs another shocker like he did at Newmarket last backend and also as there’s only 8 so it only needs one more to pull out and we’re down to 2 places.
August 25, 2018 at 12:43 #1364363fair points charles
August 25, 2018 at 13:39 #1364387I am on THREADING each way at 10/1 in the hope that his York form comes back
And an interest each way on CHILEAN at 25/1 with the belief that last time was too bad to be true!!
Mrsraymo has backed the fav LORD GLITTERS at 15/8 so hopefully someone in the house backs the winner!!
Good luck Guys
August 25, 2018 at 13:43 #1364390Had to go for Master The World each way here at 40-1, that just looks too big. Hard to see him win, but he might just sneak a place. Smaller ew saver on Chilean at the 25’s.
Great line up for this.
August 25, 2018 at 13:57 #1364392A nice early call Pants well done
August 25, 2018 at 14:58 #1364402Thanks Buckers. He’s a consistent sort, the extra furlong looked to suit him for sure.
That’s certainly helped the bank account after a testing week!
August 25, 2018 at 15:03 #1364404Well done Pants, he’s a very nice horse.
August 25, 2018 at 19:58 #1364428Get in there!
Cheers Pants. I would never have got the price without this thread. Brilliant stuff.
August 25, 2018 at 20:38 #1364432I’ve taken a liking to Lord Glitters this season. Last year I had him as a high grade handicapper but he’s been improving and I have been backing him each-way in big races and picking away with him. He’s so consistent and seems to finish his races strongly.
I can’t really see him beating Alpha Centauri in the QE II but if she is absent I will feel positive about my 14/1 in the bigger race. Today was a nice start on that journey.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
August 26, 2018 at 00:14 #1364446Well done Pants and co for identifying a value bet that won.

Beat Mustashry half a length at levels.
Gave 7 lbs to a three year old and a total of 3 lengths beating to Chief Ironside.
Master The World was giving the winner 3 lbs and beaten a only a total of 3 1/4 lengths.Lord Glitters is a horse I like; deserving credit for fighting out a victory today when not at his best. Genuine as they come but surely needs to improve a lot on that run to win even a poor quality QEII? Why did bookies shorten him up?
