With all this controversy over interference and Stewards not keen to demote the horse who finished first past the post I think we need new technology in place that definitely proves whether the hampered horse would have won with a clear run.
I have been working furiously on a new system that is a combination of soccer’s goal-line technology and Cricket’s Hawkeye system. This system contains cutting edge camera equipment and computer processing combined in a unique, patented system called COCKEYE.
Initial tests look promising and I think this will allow Stewards to apply the rules with certainty, creating confidence for punters and moaning gits alike.
I applied the system to today’s Falmouth Stakes:-
Original Result:-
Key- Grey saddled horse is Elusive Kate
Blue saddled horse is Sky LanternImage one:-
Elusive Kate wins the race as we know.
Now, after applying COCKEYE we can see how it would have turned out if Sky Lantern were not the victim of interference:-
Image two:-
And there we have it, a little bit closer but Elusive Kate still winning it and the result stands with everyone happy justice was done.
I’m looking for investors to take this forward, any Dragon’s on the board?
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Don’t forget Hot Spot which in slow motion black and white replay coverage will show a mark as to exactly how many times and precise spot a horse gets hit on the nose.

July 12, 2013 at 22:54 #445542The lack of jockeys surely prevents any whips striking noses…
July 12, 2013 at 23:56 #445549I think you should’ve called it BLINDEYE Steve seems the Stewards are turning them all the time nowadays.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 13, 2013 at 09:52 #445577:lol:

..but make sure there’s a re-design that allows it to play and record at the same time! We don’t want to have to use Trott’s psychologist in racing as well…
July 13, 2013 at 11:51 #445594Thanks for giving me such a great laugh, Steve !
