Very keen on Hoof It. Won in a fast time at York in a very classy manner.

He’s declared for York again on Saturay, Grimes (Skybet Dash), and it may be worth holding off until after then.
6f on the likely soft ground will test his stamina, so he might just become a better price for Goodwood the following weekend.

Thanks for that, reet hard. I got him at a decent price a while back, though, and was surprised to see him down for the Dash; where I bet on him but not as much as I should have. But I’m always telling my wife that.

Apparently, he’s ginormous, but I’m still a bit worried about his weight, though I probably shouldn’t be – since it’s not in excess of 3 miles 2 over the sticks! Still, there’ll be one or two other decent sorts, surely.

Cant wait for this race. Some of my winnings from Deacon Blues in the Wokingham will be put to play and its Macs Power for me for Fanshawe again.

There is a big race in this horse for sure and Im hoping its Saturday!

    Good Luck

What an impossible race. I think this is harder than last years National.

. Unexposed at the trip and goes especially well at Goodwood.

I like the look of the one at the bottom, Fathsta, ridden by Sousa. Run very well at the course before, Sousa has a good record on him, and he’s drawn near some fancied runners (- who really knows what the advantage will be today?). Ground won’t be a problem. Is better off at weights with Hoof It, well up there on all Racing Post ratings, so looks cracking value at 25s.

Edinburgh Knight was well thought of as a youngster (had a Derby entry) and finally seems to be realising potential.

Trainer says York run should be ignored – he was forced to run to try and get him into The Wokingham and the race came too soon.

Two SC winners have come from the Newcastle Race EK won last time and he’s my choice.
