“I’d say that, at the weights, at this trip and first time out, Flooring Porter can get beat ten lengths today with zero cause for alarm.”
I stand by this.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 26, 2022 at 19:12 #1628340I hadn’t planned to have a bet in this ante post; firstly, because I can’t recall the last time I backed the winner, and second, it looks very scrappy. But I’ve just taken 16s about Paisley Park, who looked right back to his best today (maybe even better). Uncharacteristically close to the leaders 3 out, he has actually won that very easily.
Fenton says he has seemed a different horse this season, though he cannot pinpoint why, reporting that even his training has been easier. Historically (back to 1997), he’s unlikely to get his ideal soft ground, but the last five runnings have been on easy ground – 3 soft, 2 good to soft. If he retains his current enthusiasm, 16s is huge value.
December 26, 2022 at 19:31 #1628350PP defo owes me nowt; in same betting and winnings league as Frodon, for me, on a very personal level.
I bet him at a big price e/w for the 2022 Stayers.
Not convinced he actually needs the softer ground either, these days, as long as it isnt too much on the really fast side.
Flooring Porter still a worthy fav though.
But PP will likely see a ‘tickle’ from me.December 26, 2022 at 19:47 #1628351I know he,s won at chelt but I’m not convinced it plays to his strengths , the year he won this he was the best horse by a long way , it was a great performance today but I can’t see him performing to that level in the stayers , I really do think it maybe a upset year …
December 26, 2022 at 23:58 #1628376Paisley Park is too old to win a Stayers Hurdle again.
December 28, 2022 at 13:56 #1628585Well one can forget Bob after that, looked a non stayer. Home By The Lee wins again.
December 28, 2022 at 13:59 #1628587Either flooring porter is being run half fit or he’s just not the horse he was anymore
December 28, 2022 at 14:15 #1628592Surely being run half fit you’d imagine.
December 28, 2022 at 14:15 #1628593Teahupoo 12/1
Going to take the gamble that he isn’t actually that ground dependant and what he needed all along was a stamina test.Just watched the hattons grace back and his action didn’t seem any more rounded than klassical dreams to my very untrained eye
Suspect he will run in the galmoy hurdle next.

He’s just warming up for Cheltenham ;o)
12 lengths behind HBTL first time, 3 and and three quarter lengths this time.December 28, 2022 at 14:23 #1628600Flooring Porter wasn’t great pre Cheltenham last year. I get the feeling its all about this race for him.
Blackbeard to conquer the World
December 28, 2022 at 14:39 #1628605Something physical bothering Bob Olinger. That’s twice in row Rachael has looked as though she is nursing him from some way out, standing high in her irons off a long rein. Shame. He’s a good, honest horse.
December 28, 2022 at 16:25 #1628635Home By The Lee wins the Stayers’ – if they show up Klassical Dream and Teahupoo fight out the minor placings, though the latter surely has too silly a name to feature in a Grade 1 at the Cheltenham Festival.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 28, 2022 at 17:13 #1628648FP 8/1 with 365 – an absolute steal imho. Cheltenham is a different game and he’s proven around there, in March.
December 28, 2022 at 17:18 #1628649I backed Flooring Porter at 6/1 for this race after last season’s festival. Slightly disappointing he is a bigger price now but I still think he can win it. Cromwell will have him spot on.
But why is Home By The Lee as big as 7/1? He has won two recognised trials in good style.
Flooring Porter was underestimated after he won today’s race two years ago before winning at Cheltenham. It would be no surprise to see Home By The Lee do the same.
Taken the 7/1.
December 28, 2022 at 17:25 #1628650No question Home By The Lee is improving at the perfect time, as Flooring Porter was before his first Stayers win. I was put off him by how lazily he raced at Navan, but that was over 20f and they might simply have been going too fast. No question about his stamina; that’s his strong suit. I still think the best value is a rejuvenated Paisley Park, but Ashdale Bob ran well again today. He gives me the impression better ground will suit and so would hold up tactics. He too looks good value at 14/1.
December 28, 2022 at 17:25 #1628651Id be wary of taking any form from this , the 2nd and 3rd make it iffy ( I know flooring should have been 3rd ) , Flooring is all about March , Bob looks a shadow of the horse he was , he was never right in the turners and was a fortunate winner , I’ll be playing some at bigger prices
