Sing it, brother.
The best finish I’ve seen so far in 2008? No contest – Iris’s Prince, Who Else Knew and Noakarad De Verzee separated by just a short head and the same at the end of an modest Men’s Open point-to-point at Hackwood Park. Absolutely cracking fare.

a shocking comment…..
maybe you should stick to tennis during the summer….. if only you could find a southern chap that can play your southern games.
July 4, 2008 at 10:20 #171620Would be good to see what the original poster thought of his complaints about lack of quality racing (the Newbury card last night was pretty good i thought) being countered by the joys of slogs in the mud at Leicester, hurdles at Musselburgh and AW at Wolverhampton
July 4, 2008 at 15:41 #171713My original post was to see if people agreed that there is a lot of racing at the minute, of which a lot is not the best.
I do not doubt that there is good horses out daily but do we really need six meetings a day (like today), with the majority of it being of a poor standard. One of the meetings is on the all weather, this in July for goodness sake.
There is good racing today at Sandown but the rest of it with the exception of a couple of races at Salisbury would seem to me to be poor quality.
I do not doubt that it may be exciting to watch at times, but it tends to turn me away from racing

Presumably that was a meeting bid for by the course. The free market in action, for good or bad.
