Here is a system primarily drawn from the Racing Post (the usual suspects – RPR, TS PD etc) plus a subjective (gut feel) from me. I will personally only back the horses that do not drift significantly from the price forecast in the RP. I will record the LSP for all selections though.
Selections for Thursday 27 January
110 Southwell Cerebus 7/4
310 Southwell Treasure Cay 6/4
330 Warwick Bobsleigh 5/4
350 Plumpton Surefast 8/11

I’m always keen on any system derived from the RP because I rely on it so much myself.
Good luck; I ‘ll be watching with interest.

The sub-title of this thread is "mostly favourites that don’t drift", not favourites that don’t drift , so your pedantry is incorrect.
My system identifies horses that I think will run well. It generally identifies horses at the shorter end of the market and often such horses are forecast favourites and end up actual favourites. Pianoforte was forecast favourite and was very well supported. New Wave was strongly fancied and ended up actual favourite and caused Pianoforte to become second favourite.
Still, your interest in this thread is appreciated, even if you feel it necessary to incorrectly criticise it ;)

February 1, 2005 at 09:54 #57694I thought the horse difted OUT in price was that not correct?
February 1, 2005 at 10:10 #57695Seagull
Your initial point was its non favouritism. You are now trying to wriggle out, unsuccessfully I might add.
My subtitle should read (if there was enough space)
" ………… exclude horses that drift because they are clearly not fancied and people are laying them for all they are worth.
There was plenty of money for Pianoforte throughout the day. It was strongly supported. There was more money for New Wave, because many people strongly fancied this horse too. Pianoforte didn’t significantly drift because it would be a non-tryer etc. The market had it as a two horse race which is how it turned out – a close fought thing, which as you noriginally pointed out Pianoforte won. The slight drift of Pianoforte, in this instance, was a good thing. If you fancied it, you would back it at the value price, as no doubt you did.
People post threads on this forum to help others on the forum win money, if they choose to back them.
What is your problem?
