Mostahdaf 13/2
Division looks open to an improver imo with nothing setting an unreachable standard in any of the guineas
Gosden has shown in recent years how to win this with palace pier and without parole who had similar profiles
June 9, 2021 at 13:29 #1544554Looks like plenty have held their ground
Happy with the price I got in such a wide open race
June 10, 2021 at 20:46 #1544749Very disappointing field imho. If lucky vega is going to win a group one this season it’s got to be here. I wouldn’t be surprised if an unexposed horse wins this.
June 15, 2021 at 13:10 #1545578Battleground 13-2 to bounce back from his Guineas flop.
June 15, 2021 at 13:30 #1545585The problem with Battleground is that it wasn’t just a bit of a flop but an out and out failure.
Handling the course is blamed but do we really see horses collapse that much on the Rowley mile and then come back to win a group one? I dont follow the flat intensely but I cant think of an example. Similar story with Chindit but at least he was competitive
I would love to see Bolgers win it just to defy the “cotton wool” brigade but counter intuitively I do also think this is coming a bit quick after the three guinieas
lucky Vega for me but Chindit the threat
June 15, 2021 at 13:38 #1545591Mostahdaf ew 5 places
June 15, 2021 at 14:29 #1545610Had a little bit each way on Wembley in his first time head gear.
June 15, 2021 at 16:26 #1545641Tough horse. Pleased for the trainer too.
June 15, 2021 at 16:28 #1545642Fantastic performance. One in the eye for all those who think horses have to be wrapped in cotton wool and lightly raced!
Easy to forget this horse won as a 2yo in March last year, just before the great shut down.
June 15, 2021 at 16:33 #1545643Winner was different class. A seriously tough animal to win that so easily when running his fifth race of the season.
Not for the first time an odd bit of ‘pacemaking’ by a horse from the O’Brien stable.
June 15, 2021 at 16:48 #1545646Great to see this; has danced every dance, and seems to be improving.
June 15, 2021 at 17:53 #1545658I really hope him and Palace Pier go to Goodwood it would be a cracking race
June 15, 2021 at 18:43 #1545665I think Palace Pier will be kept to a stiffer 1 mile and/or 10f rather than go to Goodwood.
June 15, 2021 at 19:20 #1545672Fantastic performance from Poetic Flare.
and lovely interview afterwards with JB’s daughter. Well deserved win and proving that Dawn Approach is all about quality not quantity.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 15, 2021 at 20:02 #1545678Nice to see someone other than obrein or one of the big UK yards dominating
