A shame that the favourite was dreadful. One thing that struck me is what an ordinary looking horse he is. He wouldn’t stand out in a selling race.
Some people were still trying to big the race up, but when you take out 33% of it then it isn’t quite so good.
I wasn’t impressed with Rosallion in what I considered was a pretty weak Irish Guineas, and I thought stall 1 might be an issue yesterday in a slowly run race. Maybe he will look better off a strong pace, but just getting home isn’t going to put him up with the very top milers. It will interesting to see how that Irish Guineas holds up in the Jersey, if indeed it does. Interesting in itself that both second and third are dropping down in trip.
