It’s great to have such wonderful memories of a great horse in your life. For me it was Dessie and the years when I used to met him at Ab Kettleby as part of his fan club. My signed drawing of Des is just behind me [need Simon Sherwoods signature to complete it though]

I guess you’ll be off to Ludlow then Moehat to see their Clerk Of Course?

Such a shame SS’s best days are behind him.i think Sire has more good races in him though, no reason to write him off.
I’m a huge fan of Sam Twiston-Davis though, so I was thrilled wuth the result! I thought I’d miss the race, because I’m in London but we just happened to be in the hotel room as the race was run! Brilliant :yahoo:

I'd like to live in a place where they cordon off swans...

Is that where he is these days Ginge? We go there sometimes. I’ve had my Dessie picture framed without the back being sealed so I can complete the signatures!I’ve got Colin Brown and Richard Dunswoodys signatures.

Wait a minute, have I got this right?

Dessie has signed the drawing of himself and he’s the Clerk Of The Course at Ludlow?

    What a horse

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
