Approaching the final furlong, Latin Lover (IRE), placed eighth, shifted marginally right on to Zoltan Star (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Latin Lover (IRE).

My selection last ran 10 days ago in handicap company.
He drops down to maiden level and to my mind has a good opportunity to run well here. Last time he ran into two well treated horses who had shown no form recently having lost collectively by hundreds of lengths in their last few runs. Having once been both trained by the same trainer, their meeting coincided with a return to form. Given that they won so well would potentially leave the selection similarly well treated. It is no compensation to be well handicapped in a maiden hurdle, but to know your horse has decent ability and a rating probably higher than the one he is running under…..
