Greenasgrass
Yes that was an authoritive win by the Elliot horse. Good when they win at great prices.Kendicate
I’ll take a look at the Winter Sun performance.Bernie’s Boy 3rd @ 10/1
Nice result to end the day.
To go with
More Bumper Delight
Sun Rising Hill won @ 12/1 at Mkt Rsn
Weseekhimhere 6/4 bolter @ ListowelSeptember 27, 2020 at 11:02 #15036361.25 The Curragh COLOUR SERGEANT WIN
Is coming out of stall 5,
Whilst he has a string of 2,s in his form his second to Thunder Moon has to be the gold standard in this huge field maiden. Keane and Lyons relish battling with Ballydoyle and they can take this race for the second year on the trot.
Somehow Van Gogh has attained Stall one and this is seen as a penalty kick for him by all and sundry. Clearly though he has not been straight forward.
2.30
5f race
Another big Field cutting up rough
Ardhoomey is now top weight and Sam Ewing takes off a valuable 7lbs the horse has soft ground winning form and has gone down in the weights Each way
Royal Canford and Blairmaine for the combination tricast/forecast
4.15 Sycamore Lodge Ireland
Ebendi could well shake this race up. Dermot Weld’s string are in fine form and this Aga Khan horse has a chance here.Pugin was beaten by Ebendi before going on to win and then losing to Efferknock fizz (last on Friday at Dundalk)in a heavy ground race. Order of Australia has french and Irish Derby form and is rated a formality here by some.
I’ve no strong feel about this race and its level of intensity therefore it is a Watching briefEbendi 2nd @12/1 Colour Sergeant 2nd @ 7/2
September 27, 2020 at 21:04 #1503699EBENDI and COLOUR SERGEANT both ran very well in second place at the Curragh and were beaten by better horses.
Both horses should go into trackers for future reference as they are above averageI got the handicap wrong and the winner completed a six timer. Blairmaine ran excellently for third place for the second race in a row.
Beckwith Place ran very well for second place and should be noted when next out.September 28, 2020 at 00:30 #1503719Round up
Felicidad 5/1 Sure Cert 28/1 winners kicked off the week in Ireland
Then Edward Blue 3rd @ 40/1 and Anti Cool 2nd @ 40/1 at Warwick
Elmono 2nd at 16/1 at perth
Moyhenna 2nd at 40/1 just failed by a nose to land the Kerry National
Costalotmore hosed up by 39 lengths in stunning fashion in the Irish bumper at 20/1 Selection of the month
MT Leinster 9/4 and Slige Dala 1/1 both landed big race assignments.
Mutanaaseq came in 3rd at Newcastle @ 66/1.
Quiet day Saturday
With Rising Hill Sun another bumper winner first time out @ 12/1
Weseekhimhere won his bumper at Listowel with ease @6/4
Bernie’s Boy rounded off the day with a 3rd @ 10/1
I was hoping for shock wins for Ebendi 2nd @12/1 to Order of Australia and Colour Sergeant 2nd @ 7/2 to Van Gogh but was delighted they were both on the premises and they can go on to better things.Looking to basics when selecting next week to get some consistency
September 28, 2020 at 13:08 #1503738Rosscommon 1.15 pm
A tricky maiden hurdle with obvious favourites.
Of those with little or no experience are
Carole’s secret
Mr Solomon
Each way chances is taken on both of the above
Ouch!!
Both uplaced
good win by Rachel Blackmore and Kapprd.September 28, 2020 at 13:42 #1503743KILLULTAGH BELLA 1.45 Rosscommon
Is taken to show improvement from a disappointing first show when only sixth. Hood is on and better ground is expected to bring a win here.
Unplaced
An inauspicious start to the week.
Lusis Naturea
Has been running really well and while without a win in over a year has played some excellent supporting roles behind British Art, Mig des tallons and Jerdame recently.
Lusis Naturea is taken to resume the winning thread in Rosscommo’s 2.15 in the hands of Rachel Blackmore.

Patriciaplaster

Newton abbott 2.10
Small chance taken wind surgery and hood and checkoieces help this Irish horse on fifth run for stable. 2nd string

STREETS OF DOYEN

3.45 Rosscommom
WINSOR VIXEN is taken to step up on efforts in this begginers chase. Win
I’M ON SNAP should relish this go over fences and the longer trip. Each way
There are others in this contest with stronger claims but a chance is taken with these two.
Both unplacedSeptember 28, 2020 at 15:33 #15037593.40 newton Abbot
This looks an intriguing contest with several holding strong claims.
The one that gets my vote is
CAN you Believe It win who can put course and distance win form last year to good use.
Small each way on HIHA defying an 887 day absence to grab a place off an old winning mark of 80.
UNPLACEDSeptember 28, 2020 at 16:02 #1503764Final NH play for today.
Its the flat race at Rosscommom 4.15
Not the usual big price horse nor a safe bet.
Much depends on how forward Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins yard are with their Bumper squad today.
Velvet Elvis holds fresh start on thier Punchestown meeting and won his Point to point maiden by a good ten lengths. it all depends on if he can repeat the feat in much better company and how strong the other debutants are.
VELVET ELVIS Win
UNPLACEDSeptember 28, 2020 at 16:10 #1503765Sigh of relief there for streets of doyden Sam. Think we both were on at listowel when it was NR in the end after being punted. Not much of a price today but a nice winner. Managed to match it at 12s in play so a decent win.
September 28, 2020 at 16:54 #1503771That’s an excellent price Kendicate.
Not having the greatest day but some good ones last week.
Newton Abbott 5.10
Taking on the short priced favourite good wide margin win for Tipalongtyler last time out but price does not reflect penalty.
Both Bogoss Du Perret win ( Bryony Frost) and Watching Brief win
Have winning chances here.yes Watching brief is a horse up 3lbs for nck 2nd to Sammylou over C&D last time out
WB
3rd @ 13/2 bryony unplacedSeptember 28, 2020 at 19:34 #1503801Indeed Sam, as you know when your playing the bigger price horses they ain’t going to win every other race. Much more fun and profitable than backing at odds on though.
Keep the faith
September 28, 2020 at 20:03 #1503809Will do mate.
Last race
Zebulon returns to see if he can repeat his course and distance win. Should go close. Two more to go with him in a small combination tricast are Refuge and anna Maria. Mick Easteby and Richard Fahey train these two.
ANNA MARA AND REFUGE both warrant small win sngles too.September 28, 2020 at 20:51 #1503812Not a good day is an understatement.
Some classic errors in judgement.
Back on the horse in due course. -
