    I am attempting to compile my own speed ratings Beyer style but want to incorporate Mordins formula for beaten lengths would anyone be able to forward me an excel formula that will calculate ratings of beaten horses.

    Asa former apostle of speed , the only problem is calculating the correct variant

    Its a minefield

    stick to straight courses and only operate on going that incorporates the word good

    we at speedbet have been doing figure’s now for over a year and i have found that it is better to forget the first part of the race because in most races there is no early speed and most of the runners only make there move late on.of course some races are not like this and a full run race has to be noted.but i have found out that it is only the latter part that matters and it has done us well as we have some of the best speed figures on the net now.but as i say every one differs in style to there own figure’s
