    HELL RED
Has his work cut out here.
Could be trouble has run with real tough resolve lately. He has also been prone to errors, particularly last time against Mortlach when a brilliant recovery got him right back in the race despite slithering right down to the ground on landing late on.

Hell Red is a massive imposing sort who will definitely front run and put his rival under pressure.
Despite the weights, (Could be trouble gets several pounds here), Hell Red, a Boodles runner last year, can get a four lengths win today a big reduction on a 42 length win last time.
Hell Red to win by four or more lengths.
    11/8
Paul Nicholls’ only runner today and a 280 mile round trip. Local track for Donald McCain and his hurdles course and distance winner who won his chase at Warwick.
Make no mistake Could be trouble can win this if he can cut out the errors especially with the weight advantage, but my suspicion is that he won’t and if Harry Cobden has his riding hat on he should get Hell Red home and clear…

Ryan Potter frequently lands punts and although COPPER FOX looks strongest here.
CREWS PITCH has the look of a sly one.
A winner of a two mile point a year ago he was well beaten last time over further and makes his rules debut here for his new yard. Pulled up and no great shakes since that distance win, it would be no suprise to see an improvement now he runs for Potter. The jockey is two from seven the last two weeks. Headgear goes on too.

COPPER FOX and CREWS PITCH were first and second the other night and CREWS PITCH will be up to winning very soon.

Crypto has changed hands for a colossal 900k since winning on debut and is the talking horse here from the Emerald Isle. A small place bet will do no harm as connections attempt to get an instant return on their investment. He certainly does not fit the profile though.
But the Ballydoyle runner ALFRED MUNNINGS was very impressive in his debut win.
Aidan O’Brien has won this race on numerous occasions and knows what is required to take the race.

The 130 rated chaser drops down to the classic flat trip to attempt to Nick a maiden for Joseph O’Brien.
Given that he has already won three times over fences twice off a mark of 130, he has an advantage of not being a maiden at all.
His biggest rival was set to be a noel Meade bumper winner now a non starter and his main adversary now looks to be the stalls.

Very patiently campaigned by Joseph O’Brien.
Two high quality thirds to the dante third Scriptwriter and to an Emirates Newmarket group three fifth.
Stepped up to a mile and a half on reappearance running well.
Drop back in trip now on decent surface will likely see this one really go well now and looks a class horse.

    DE VELARA
Has an even chance of scoring in this maiden. Came close when beaten close home on Irish debut. Has already shown up well in runs in France so more experienced than most.
If DE VELARA cannot last home then PLANKTON is a viable alternative

By no means the bet of any day…
WONDERFUL TIMES to win by 2.0 lengths or more
    11/10
    Nottingham 2.20.
Has been second to French and English Oaks heroine Nashwa over decent trip and another good second to Judith. Didn’t appreciate further last time and back to this trip should take all the beating. Ridiculously short in price but can win by two lengths at sensible odds.
If he manages to make the two lengths then it’s a value bet for a runner long odds on to win.

I’ve found a comfy place between backing lower priced runners with form and the occasional value runner and every now and then I come unstuck with a shortie!
That was a prime example and my nemesis Rab Havlin who I never mean to back lured me into his lair again….
    Anyway back to value.

    NAVAL POWER

Naval power’s form has received no boosts and although the yard are in good order ( I’m sure if I trained 200 horses or more with hundreds always available to bring in, I’d find a couple in form!) He may not easily win a race the yard won last year. The bet is cover two ways as it is and hopefully Solutre can get to within striking distance to land a blow.

Solutre a winner in the without the favourite market but to be fair it was David and Goliath out there!! A huge horse in comparison and very good conformation. Readily gave the weight and didn’t mind the ground. Looks like a good horse. :good:

    Continuing with Solutre theme today.
Solutre was third behind one Ruler and Courageous knight previously.
Solutre upheld the form yesterday in following home the massively developed racehorse Naval power.
COURAGEOUS KNIGHT lost out to one Ruler on the nod having regained the lead in the final strides only to lose it by a whisker.
A minimum of improvement should be good enough to get home first today.

A high draw has been a prerequisite to winning this race the previous two years.
Joseph O’Brien’s horse has struggled since a barrier trial win for Charles O’Brien and then a rules debut win for new yard.
This test may be just what is needed.

The handicapper has tried to get to grips with this progressive runner and a 12 pound hike might not be enough to stop him.
