Emily Upjohn in the Autumn. The oaks entry was a wide margin winner at the weekend.
    Cosmic desert has similar claims.

    BAKE
    Win
    Yarmouth 3.48
Did not enjoy the soft going in better class race last time.
Drops down in class here and has the trip and the course win.
    No negatives on better ground.
Not a maximum win bet, but not far off it.
In this tiny field Bake under Will Buick will have to do it for himself, and that may well suit the horse here on this ground.

Poor selection yesterday but move on and hopefully hit the target today.🎯

    Special M W/O Whizz Kid @ 1/1

Whizz kid up 8lb is on the upgrade and looks good for this latest test.
Special M was 2 lengths back last time and the 8lb pull will at least bring him closer in principle.

Whizz kid did it very efficiently and Special M followed in his slipstream in second as expected.
Over to you NERVOUS WITNESS to hopefully land two doubles.
What could go wrong?………..

    Nervous Witness
    Third to Stolz.
Never on terms but well ahead of atomic Force who at present struggles with the new surroundings. No prize for third place and the wait for winning goes on….

    EL FABIOLO
    Win.
    7.10
Looked great at Aintree against Jonbon and deserves to land the spoils here.
If he has been working with state man and Kilcruit then he should be ok!!!
I’ll find Mullins comments and put them up here …..

We have four in the 2 mile novice hurdle. El Fabiolo (Paul) looks the pick of ours after running a great race at Aintree but he had a hugely hard race there. He appears okay at home and should go close here. Bring On The Night (Bryan Cooper) ran a great race in the Supreme and could be El Fabiolo’s biggest danger. Ha D’or (Danny) had a very hard race at Fairyhouse just three weeks ago. If he is over that he should be in the shake-up today. Micro Manage (Sean O’Keeffe) won at Thurles last time but has been a little disappointing over hurdles. A first four finish would be our best hope for him here.

    THE FLYING SOFA
    Win
Yard won this last year and have chosen a horse who hasn’t jumped a hurdle in three years.
A winner here though in a chase over course and distance class 4.
Lost a shoe in a class 3 chase last time out.
Last year’s winner also carried top weight.
    Only runner at this meeting.
(Their winner last year had also not hurdled for two years and was coming off the back of a second in a chase too.)

The flying sofa didn’t stand a yard and couldn’t breach the energy line although fellow top weight could and got into the frame.

David Evans runner is still very well treated based on his debut second to Chindt who is now listed class. Only rated 74 now has come down a fair way. So has a bit in hand and likely to improve some more in time.

    TROJAN HORSE
    Win
    Temple of Artemis
The ten year draw data suggests that Mark Johnston’s runner has a strong chance of winning this race. The trainer has an excellent recent record too.
The bottom weight is a non runner and was drawn alongside the selection and leaves Trojan horse as the new bottom weight.
Ballydoyle are represented too and are obviously running on full power now.
A reverse forecast involving these two is the secondary bet.

    RESTITUTION
    Win
    Southwell
    6.50
Tackles a weak looking odds on favourite here.
Clear the runway is a chaser who is yet to win over hurdles.
True his rating in chases is much higher, but that is based on what he has achieved over fences.
Restitution easily beat Glimpse of Gold at Fakenham before putting in a poor run last time against the same horse which the trainer couldn’t explain to the stewards as a well beaten favourite.
If back to form could well assert readily to take this contest and would make a potentially good double with the bumper selection.
(I’m cautious at the moment and will be sticking to two win singles)

Disappointing that a good run halts on that selection as there were a host of better choices. River Nymph was the last successful soul selection on Saturday at big odds.
    Hopefully something similar tomorrow.

Sixth in season opener top juvenile race at Doncaster.
Runner up to star of lady M who had previously beaten the runner up from the same race.

    RUMSTAR
    Win
Put up an excellent performance on debut.
Winner heavily backed and took the rail immediately gaining a huge advantage for duration of race.
Denied by traffic, while the winner got first run and use of the running rail all the way.
Had to come from off the pace and negotiate a path and was beaten only by the winning post.
Distance recorded as a head but looked closer.
If able to race unimpeded will go very close.
No report to the stewards by jockey so connections should be quietly confident here.
Always the danger that nearest rival has similar claims, but that one headed having gained the lead on debut.

    5 pm. Clomel
    Prairie Dancer
Stepped up to the plate at Cheltenham in the Boodles and although not quite getting home in the hot atmosphere ran respectably for a novice.
Looks a prospect and showed good form to land a maiden win last time.
    Every chance here.
Gaelic Arc can give prairie Dancer most to do.

The commentator doesn’t fill one with any confidence about the selections chances but we will have to see !! Youngest horse in race but does get the weight from most of the older runners…..
