Foxy Watch helped the bank balance nicely there :)

    Good to hear it.
You have to be quick, but the winners are flying in on the other section too today. :good:
Glan and Cogital at a big price.

    Plumpton
    3.25
This may not be the race of the day,
But it is an intriguing affair.
    BOURBALI
Has to give nearly two stone away to the progressive juvenile
    AGGAGIO
but is taken to do so in some style.
    The bet is
    BOURBALI
    Win 7/4

    AGGAGIO
    To win without BOURBALI
    11/8
Maybe the key to this race is the fact that Bourbali is the class horse in the race with course and distance. Perhaps Gary Moore’s runner is the one for the future…

While we are waiting for the next race and Bourbali and Aggagio to strut their stuff….
    FAIRYHOUSE
    3.10
Willie Mullins runs no less than eight in this and team tactics ala Ballydoyle could play a part. But I believe he is just throwing darts and hoping to score with lots of owners to keep happy. They will have to go some to beat
    LOVE ENVOI
    Win
Off levels given that she is unbeaten and gave another hammering to rivals giving weight away at Cheltenham last time out.
She also has met and beaten most of the eight as well.
    LUNAR DISPLAY
    Each way
May well come closest to upsetting the mare.
And Joseph O’Briens runner looks best of the rest.

    Bourbali won well.
Worth noting from yesterday’s results that no horse before AHORSEWITHNONAME had actually gone out and won next time out after finishing second to love Envoi. Without a doubt Willie Mullins had clocked that and set out to beat the favourite with a very well executed plan. First time hood and a hare in the form of HORS PISTE worked the oracle and BRANDY LOVE was switched off at the back. A read of “heads up from Willie Mullins” (which I posted and did not heed) says as much.
    HUNTINGDON 2.30
    SOPRAN THOR
    Win
Rallied to take second place last time behind a free running Ledgends Ryde.
Was found to have lost a shoe afterwards.
The only runner in this line up to have the distance.
    Clemencia is the danger here.
This small but tight handicap sees a vital 3lbs claimed for Sophran Thor which may prove crucial.

Anything can happen here with the draw and this idiosyncratic track.
But on all known form, two irresistible forces meet here!!
    VAL DE TRAVERS
Put up an amazing performance the last day in refusing to settle and threatening to pull the jockeys arms out before winning well under restraint. Head was all over the place and the jockey won his battle with the wayward lad in the closing stages. It could all go wrong here if he blows up again, but trainer has had a few days to put this exciting prospect right and if he settles down this time, we could be in for a right treat.

MOKAMAN win W/O VAL DE TRAVERS

    VAL DE TRAVERS
    WIN

MOKAMAN has a brilliant record here, two wins from three and a place. While Val De Travers is hard to beat, Mokaman will pick up any pieces.

    VAL DE TRAVERS
    To win by 2+ lengths @ 5/2

To try and land the tricast, add BLUELLA and SPANISH ANGEL in a combination tricast.

    BLUELLA
    SPANISH ANGEL
    MOKAMAN
    VAL DE TRAVERS
    Comb tricast.

Tied myself up in knots the last few selections.
The benefit of avoiding penalised runners is there for all to see.

    Perth 1pm
Champion jockey Brian Hughes has passed the 200 mark.
It would be great if he put himself up for the big races or went and rode a few in Ireland. Fancy being a pro jockey and never knowing if you could have mixed it at the top end?
His mount here is an expensive new purchase and faces Gordon Elliott and Donald McCain who both run good horses.
AUBIS WALK cost 164k after winning a maiden bumper and in receipt of seven pounds could kick on here on rules debut.
    WIN

    1.10
    Warwick
    MORTLACH
    Win
Ran a very sound second to coastguard Station last time and has two decent bumpers runs going back over a decent amount of time.
Kept going in points for Paul Nicholls and likely to go off second favourite here.

    Win double and place double.

MORTLACH was a very good winner for the section getting back on track for decent winners here. Was always going to show up well for running behind coastguard Station last time.
AUBIS WALK didn’t quite know enough to get the better of the Elliott runner BURN THE EVIDENCE on rules debut but will shape up better for the experience.

    Tipperary
    Raadobarg runs here but
    EMPHATIC ANSWER
    Each way
Gets more than a stone from his rival under these terms with the claimer’s seven pounds.
Johnny murtagh also has a second string in here who could also go well on debut for yard.
BARADAR has a place in a group 1 as a two year old behind MacSwinney and also gets weight here.
    BARADAR
    Win
    ________________________________________
No joy with the last at Tipperary as Raadobarg confirmed his group class giving weight to the field. Stablemate Baradar was the rabbit who ensured the Lincoln winner (who relished the conditions and was helped by the drop in trip.) got the pace to suit which stretched the field.
He is entered in the Amythyst stakes at leopardstown may 8th. Very likely to get even further than the Lincolnshire trip during the summer.

    5pm
    Killbeggan
    JUNIOR BEE
    Win
Headgear first time and well backed at cork.
Put into the race too late to have the desired impact. Not sighted until the final few fences, but eye-catching progress to split the leading pair. Bird had flown and Racheal Blackmore given the mission to get to get this one home, this time.
    GOTTHENOD
    (Place)
was another runner hard done by last time when caught close home and he could be good for a place tonight if his chance hasn’t gone.

    A short price but
Saint Calvados has hardly put a foot wrong since joining Paul Nicholls and can gain due reward on these terms.
    Sandown 2.25
    SAINT CALVADOS
    Win
Went very close behind min in the Ryanair in 2020 and a creditable fifth last month in the marsh behind Fakir D’oudairies.
Has not won over this far but had gone close enough over further and in receipt of weight from the top two has this race in his own hands….

    Sandown

    NUBE NEGRA
    And Greanateen
Lock horns here and it really looks as though Nicholls has primed his yard for the end of the season.
Tingle creek winner and Scilly Isles.
Nube Negra runner up in the champion chase and the call is a reverse forecast here and sit back to enjoy the race. NUBE NEGRA looks great in the paddock and having missed Cheltenham may have plenty to offer fresh.

Massive win there for Nicholls and the string are in great order today. Big mistake under pressure from nube negra and he was under the pump from some way out.

    ZEPHINA
    Win
Ran third to star of lady M
and primrose ridge (the Broklesbury third)
Both runners were winners next time out by 3.5 and 7 lengths.
If adjusting to the surface from turf will take all the beating.
