    Do your Job
Won in impressive fashion and the price looks to be truly great vfm.
It was a future champions race which in the past has been won by some good sorts. Apologies for today’s previous selection.
Good to continue the decent run of horses in this thread and I hope someone benefits from them other than myself……

    Golden mile
    Sha Tin
    1015 am

    RUSSIAN EMPEROR
    WAIKUKU
    both win
Both of these runner have beaten golden sixty in recent runs.
The former O’Brien horse Russian Emperor won last time over ten furlongs to match his Hampton court win at Ascot in 2020.
It was a breakthrough win after placing third last time out and there could be more to come today back in trip.
He drops back to a mile here and won over the trip as a juvenile in Ireland.
Golden sixty’s aura of invincibility has slipped a little but from stall 1 he could easily bounce back but at decent prices both rivals are worth backing to win albeit at small stakes.

Yesterday’s selection went in the wrong section here it is again.
    Hunter chase
    At kelso
    TAKETHEPUNISHMENT
    Win
Has an outstanding record over points
    2211212
His last win was under today’s jockey.
Hasn’t been under rules for seven years since finishing sixth in a bumper at wetheby.
Behind some decent sorts that day.
Beaten in a ptp by Frankie’s fire but she is 0/14 under rules.
This veteran capable of a bold show here.
Points form doesn’t always work out going over fences but must hold a strong claim here on what is a fences debut at a ripe age.
Jockey has won over rules on a horse whose form crosses with that of two of today’s rivals given that Alone no more was a staying on fourth to that runner (Rio Des Echanault) while Frankie’s fire beat that horse in a ptp. So hopefully the jockey is the key to the horse’s chance here……

    Today’s race will be
Exeter 2.25 and it is a cracker.
    Sadly
MACK THE MAN is a non runner.
With course and distance and an excellent CV which includes defeat of the Cheltenham gold cup third Protekorat he’d have had an outstanding chance. There are now just three runners here and I may take another look at this contest closer to the off.

    Exeter
    2.25

    TECHNOLOGICAL
    Win
Is unexposed at this level and beat some subsequently decent hurdlers on the flat.
A chance is taken here that he can suprise his lofty rivals here. He gets a stone off the top weight.

Give the trainer his due, Milton Harris places his runners to real effect, aiming for races where his runners are unexposed and where they have a real chance of taking the prize money.
TECHNOLOGICAL Milton Harris’ 51st winner of a brilliant campaign, was an excellent winner yesterday.
While I gave plenty of notice (7.30 am) of a punt in that race, the selection didn’t come until a couple of minutes before the off, which is no good to man or beast. So, with that in mind and hours in advance, here is today’s Soul Selection.

Today’s pick is an unusual choice which will hopefully turn a small profit on a day devoid of the jumps. Ironically the rains will have suited many a chaser.
Two maidens with great prospects, I’m siding with caution as they are both vunerable to decent newcomers. The win stake is the smaller of the two as they are both more likely to place than to win. They are not single punts but dependant on the other’s success.

    13.40 Nottingham
    CULIMONIMBUS

    14.30 Leopardstown
    ABOVE THE CURVE

    Win double
Place double ( up to three places)

CULIMONIMBUS was an excellent staying on third last season at Doncaster and he came back from a long way off the pace that day. With the necessary improvement, he should get into a good position much earlier and be able to at least place again.
    ABOVE THE CURVE
Showed up well in his previous race and has a host of big race entries.
The form has already been franked this new season with a runner behind coming out and winning. The trouble is there are any number of runners opposing here with similar entries from the big yards. These big race maidens have a habit of becoming a ready source of future winners which spiral out into many races so it is worth noting the first twelve home and who runs well from bad draws and who comes home late unplaced from off the pace but staying on…. But fingers crossed the past season form holds the selections in good stead.

No kind of run for the first selection and disappointed with that, but that is racing.
I have backed the Irish selection on the nose with the gaurantee of money back if he only manages 2nd or 3rd.
So ABOVE THE CURVE @ evens to win. 14.30.

Thank goodness for Giant Steps at Catterick which won at 40s into 33/1 this afternoon. That money has already been banked.
Come back jumps racing all is forgiven.

Even with a ten second delay you can back a horse ( successfully ) over two miles on how the race appears to have unfolded.

Turned out to be awt not turf and while the selection went well leading into the home turf, was swallowed up in the straight. Exciting ran on but not near to the winner.

    Boombawn
    Win
    The compensation at cramped odds
If there is a winning distance option take it.
Has to give away just three pounds taking jockey claim into account.

Which goes to show stick to what you know!!
Boombawn an easy winner at odds on.
No winning distance which was just as well as it was a workmanlike economic performance.

    Bangor 3.43
    SHETLAND BUS 🚌
    Win
Drops in class on second run for new yard.
Good jockey rides and drops under last winning mark.
Looks as though previous yard have done a good job reducing his mark.
    Pulled up on stable debut.
