PACIFIC AVENUE 9/2 Power
Publish a warm order favourite and of course could win. But am going for Appleby horse who ran once beat a stablemate. More to come from him.
August 26, 2025 at 09:37 #1738952Zanthos 4-1.
Trainer nominated this race as soon as she passed the post on debut. Publish only just scrambled home last time, while both Appleby horses look beatable.
August 28, 2025 at 14:15 #1739005Zanthos not declared. Booooooooo!
Seven left in; Humidity might be the shout at 10-1 if we forgive his Goodwood run.
August 28, 2025 at 17:56 #1739015He’s Wallim for me. Ran a bit green on debut but still ran out an impressive winner by an easy 6 lengths. The form doesn’t look bad either.

August 30, 2025 at 11:16 #1739118None of these have run on soft so it’s a big unknown and ripe for a shock. I’ll go for the outsider of the party Looka 33/1 1/4 e/w 2 places. Stepped up on debut run when putting in a decent effort at Kempton in a competitive maiden, time wise looks comparable with anything else in the field. The nose in the air ‘anti All-Weather’ attitude does help a lot market wise.
August 30, 2025 at 11:59 #1739125He’s Waliim 5-1.
The more I know the less I understand.

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
August 30, 2025 at 15:47 #1739169I think Pacific Avenue gave himself a bump as he left the stalls and knocked a bit of stuffing out of himself. Did well to finish where he did. What an exciting finish..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 30, 2025 at 16:00 #1739173An exciting finish yes but, due to the ground, I think it threw up a result that went against the grain…
August 30, 2025 at 16:12 #1739175Is there anything worse than people who reminisce about the good old days?
I was there when Oh So Sharp beat Young Runaway and St Hilarion in 1984… I doubt any of this year’s field will reach anywhere near Group One standard, although I have been wrong many times over the last 40 years.
