Yes but not that often

Here’s the old rocker Noddy Holder unmasked..
“He likes to spend most of the year in Portugal, but he’s not been out there since March. At 74, he can’t afford to take chances with his health, so he dutifully mows the lawn, plays his guitar, spends time with his wife, Suzan, and keeps himself to himself.
“I haven’t been out much. I’ve been going out for walks but I’ve got to protect myself at my age.” There’s been gardening and reading, box sets and his guitar. “I play every day. Even when I left the band I played guitar regular.” Ah, it’s great, isn’t it. Noddy says he played regular, rather than regularly. Old habits die hard and his Black Country brogue is as pronounced as ever it was.”My words …
Apparently that Xmas song was recorded in L.A in the height of summer and earns regular royalties – a million a year and Noddy says he wrote it as a pension plan. No wonder he wants to keep himself safe and more importantly he is making sure he doesn’t infect others ! You have picked a good song there Ricky with a man with the correct set of values. Happy Xmas and keep others safe

December 14, 2021 at 10:01 #1572396A college mate of mine went to see Noddy in concert – I remember I asked him if he saw Big Ears there but he didn’t take too kindly to my joke. He told me he went back stage and met the group and there was a bunch of girls there – he told me Slade were all disgusting. Noddy may not have been the best role model in tottytown.
For some inexplicable reason I always preferred Big Ears !This college mate was from Manchester and he said you couldn’t beat the atmosphere in the Manchester club scene. It wasn’t like in bankbroke where people go and have several jars in a pub. No clubs are completely different or were back then there was something called buzz and atmosphere. It left me feeling a bit deprived.
He met Joe Bugner the boxer once after a fight, and he told him boxing was a bad scene and to stick to getting educated and getting a profession. Don’t know if he did ?December 14, 2021 at 10:13 #1572400Words fail for you bedwetters

December 14, 2021 at 12:24 #1572420I don’t like Lennon either, but you’d expect that from a bloke that was once refused a ticket for a Bootleg Beetles concert.
Great whistling in this song.
Mentioned 53 seconds in.

December 14, 2021 at 17:17 #1572477gamble: from memory didn’t Noddy write it on the advice of his mum? Anyone remember that drama day that he was in with a very young Amanda Holden? Can’t remember what it was called…The something or others. It was brilliant.
