crap semi final, more kicks than the cat, the difference I thought was Brecel kept his cool a lot more and didn’t get as frustrated as Wilson. Why on earth Kyren took on that green at the end was very poor judgement bore out of frustration.

I’ve always been a fan of Liang Wenbo too Darren. Very attacking player and exciting to watch.
Brecel is very good, calm and confident player, Jack like you say has gone off the boil recently but they are all capable of beating the big players and have a no fear approach about their play. Wilson had a break over Christmas and didn’t bring his A game with him to Germany which frustrated him but on the whole is a confident and normally calm player who is not afraid to take on brave shots although that green at the end of the Brecel game was brinking on the suicidal.Blackbeard to conquer the World
My mate Martin Gould won the German Masters and I think now that he has a ranking event win under his belt, he is worth keeping an eye on. I have felt that he just lacked that little bit of confidence when it really mattered and now he’s proved to himself that he can do it, I am sure he will improve and may have another title in him this season.
Interesting to see the comments about Brecel who Martin beat in the final, I hadn’t really noticed him before but will now also keep an eye on him too.

Great to see Gould get his hands on a pot, he’s going to be in the top 16 now so that will be a boost to him. Brecel has been around a while but is still a baby, he hasn’t quite progressed as much as he should have but it’s a tough game. Wilson is moving in the right direction but was poor in the semi final.
