Glenn, did you notice this one in the last at Salisbury last night?
10/11 fav. and virtually pulled up.
Says it all really, doesn’t it?!

May 23, 2008 at 10:58 #164925It was a shocking run – Richard Hoiles did note that Steve Drowne took a look down mid race – must admit I missed that as I didn’t have my night vision binoculars with me, it was very murky.
The horse looked OK as he, finally, did cross the line did not appear lame or distressed.
Steve Drowne did lodge a notification with the Stewards (which does come under the “stating the bleeding obvious” category):-
Steve Drowne, the rider of SLEEPY HOLLOW, reported that the gelding stopped quickly. The Stewards ordered SLEEPY HOLLOW to be routine tested.[/color:2mp7c46w]
The horse was never, ever, in the race a very disappointing run.
Betting oncourse looked to be OK – was always around the evens 10/11 mark – evens was still available at the off in the ring.
May 23, 2008 at 11:11 #164930A pleasing result surely Seabird? Getting an undepriced horse tipped up by a Sleepy Hollow graduate out of the frame.
I’d be much more concerned with his Nottingham win where the psychics decided to plunge on a horse with no form into disputing favouritism.
May 27, 2008 at 19:49 #165629I hope he is okay – he absolutely p***ed up at Windsor and wasn’t stopping and thought was worth following at 1m 3 or 4 furlongs plus for the rest of the season.
