Both pulled up injured. Does anyone know more about them?
This meeting produces about 4-5 fatalities and a lot more injured horses every year you have to ask if Gary O’Brien sounds concerned post-race.May 2, 2024 at 18:51 #1692520RUK just said Sire Du Berlais was lost, looked like Kilbeg King broke a leg, not confirmed yet, but sad day.
May 2, 2024 at 18:52 #1692521I didn’t know about Sire du Berlais. I just assumed he was pulled up because he couldn’t go with the pace. Commentator said Kilbeg King had ‘ gone wrong’. The 6 o’clock race yesterday was carnage.
May 2, 2024 at 18:55 #1692522Sickener. I was just thinking that Sire du Berlais would be retired now after running so badly.
May 2, 2024 at 19:03 #1692526Absolutely gutted that we’ve lost Sire Du Berlais. A real character who was at his very best as an 11 year old. The sport can be so cruel at times.
May 2, 2024 at 19:04 #1692529Both lost…..
May 2, 2024 at 19:13 #1692530Very sad.If that were here at Cheltenham or Aintree the animal rights mob would be already be condemning the sport.
I will be interested to see if there is a similar response in Ireland.Sire Du Berlais was a real warrior.Rest easy old boy.💔😢
