Just heard that Sir Robert Ogden has died. Lots of good jumpers carried his colours. Marlborough was my favourite, though I suppose Voy Por Ustedes and Exotic Dancer were his best. A pity for them that they had the likes of Kauto Star and Master Minded around at the same time!
Sorry to hear he has passed away.
March 9, 2022 at 23:23 #1586309He had loads of decent jumpers, like Fadalko, Enrique, Kingsmark, Edelweis Du Moulin and so many more rated 145+. And he had them with many different trainers, though I think that Gordon Richards was one of his very first handlers.
Towards the end of his involvement he had switched his attention to the Flat.
May he rest in peace….
March 11, 2022 at 22:14 #1586549I can remember quite a lot of the named horses but I am vague as to what they got up to. Voy Por Ustedes – possibly means I am going for you and a catchy name I remember well… but Sir Robert Ogden…I am sorry Sir.
March 18, 2022 at 11:10 #1588436Always struck me as a man who
knew how to enjoy life.
Sadly another owner who put a lot
into the sport gone. - AuthorPosts
