Is anybody else excited about Peeping Fawn’s first foal? Personally I was very attached to that mare and I was very excited to see Sir John Hawkins win his first ever race. He looked as though it took a wee while for the penny to drop, and his head carriage was a little high and to the side. But at this stage that is probably just greeness. According to the Racing Post he might run in the Coventry. He might just give Henrythenavigator the break at stud that he needs
June 7, 2013 at 19:50 #442092I think this horse could be a big player next year. I noticed that O’Brien has several possibles for the Coventry and Sir John Hawkins price seems to indicate he would be a bit unlikely to show up, being about 12/1 compared to O’Brien’s Stubbs at 7/2 and Coach House at 6/1
The ATR website shows his next entry as the Group 2 Railway Stakes at The Curragh on 29th June, but wherever he turns up he has the potential to rise to classic status one day based on his pedigree.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 7, 2013 at 21:03 #442113The horse Sir John Hawkins beat, Bolger’s Intensified, ran a fair race tonight going down narrowly to O’Brien’s newcomer War Command.
He’s Peeping Fawn’s second foal, the first, by Galileo, is called Purely Priceless and is in training with JC Rouget in France. She’s ran once, in March of this year, finishing runner-up to a filly called Amarysia who hasn’t run since either.
June 7, 2013 at 21:15 #442117I’ll follow his career with interest as I was a big fan of Peeping Fawn [which started with just loving her name].
June 8, 2013 at 11:10 #442172Thank for the info Cormack, I tried to find other foals from her because I knew with her age that she probably had at least one other. But using the Racing post, without a subscription you can only see the ones that have been through the sale ring or are entered for races in the UK.

June 8, 2013 at 12:09 #442178Pedigree and debut performance would have him firmly at the top of my Guineas thoughts for next year.
