Gamble loves The Lounge and treats every other folder as if it were The Lounge too.
Any talk from he of wanting to close it is a particularly obvious affectation designed to provoke a reaction among the easily provoked.
The equivalent of poking your head into a pig sty and shouting “bacon!” before walking off chuckling.
Gamble is mischievous and operates mostly on personal whimsy – perpetually unpredictable and probably would enjoy surprising even himself if he could.
In short, an Internet forum legend – but he’d probably be puzzled if anyone took him 100% seriously 100% of the time.

I’m glad other posters enjoy the bickering, as there is a lot of it. To me much of it seems quite personal and mean-spirited.
A good example is the “Chris Whitty” thread currently ongoing in the Lounge. Yet another troll thread about COVID started by people who “don’t want to talk about COVID”. People insulting each other, and mention of posters who have found it amusing that others have lost friends due to the pandemic. I guess I must be in the bedwetter camp…

It is a FUN thread and nothing to do with people dying. But One has to have the right mindset to appreciate it. It’s not ‘talking about Covid’
