Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 20, 2024 at 13:11 #1691216Hope you enjoyed your day at The Craven Meeting on the Rowley Mile Broadsword.
I didn’t see anyone crying into their beer on course so presume you had a good day.
It was pretty tricky finding winners this year as a lot of the locally trained hopefuls seeemed to need
their first run and ran off with my money on the day, but I did find a couple of short priced winners and
hope you did too…Jac

April 21, 2024 at 11:36 #1691357Jac, thanks very much for your kind message.
I had an excellent day, which did include a couple of winners – hence no crying in my soft drink (designated driver). I was impressed with the place; great facilities, friendly staff, excellent atmosphere from a good crowd. Quick getaway from the car park too!
It also helped that there is loads of seating; my wife and I had her 88-year-old mum with us, the day was a belated Christmas treat for her.
My only negative was the viewing. Everything seems to happen an awful long way away…
But would love to return some time.

April 21, 2024 at 16:06 #1691383Wow hold the front page
What a start that was RTB..that was how you were supposed to finish last week..but now you have us playing ‘catch up” again.Quelle…you have to keep playing the ‘flat’ compy after that double.

Chivers so unlucky with Earls beaten a nose at 11/1 at the Curragh.
Nice Nap though.
Broadsword..so glad you enjoyed your day at Newmarket and totally agree about the Viewing. They usually put a big viewing screen up near the winning post but this year it was missing. Going to email the Clerk of the Course about that before the Guineas meeting,(they were asking for feedback), it did make following your horse very difficult until they got close to home.
Hope you comeback another time;though and let me know.

Many thanks Hot Fuss, you’re doing a great job, it’s so nice to take a break and just be a player again.

Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
April 22, 2024 at 09:01 #1691444Haha, more points in the Flat competition than I had in the winter jumps competition, already!
My flat policy will become obvious as the season progresses. After all, I’ll be guessing, but then again, I appear to be guessing over the sticks anyway!
April 22, 2024 at 09:43 #1691447Off to a flyer RtB, well done, hope you can keep going!
