***********************************************************FINALLY……
Thank you to everyone for playing and making it a most enjoyable competition to run, some great tipping throughout the season and Jonova2003 a worthy winner.
Back to zero next Saturday when the flat really takes the lead again, so look forward to seeing you all then.
*************************Note from Jac – Select 3 Horses Last Season
I have enjoyed running this competition for the last 10 years ever since I joined TRF and shared the scoring with Des who sadly disappeared from the site and I kept it on with much appreciated help from Nathan
. But sadly I have decided to step down at the end of the flat season and if nobody else would like to carry it on the competition will end on Champions Day at Royal Ascot in October 2019.When I first started the competition I think there was only Bob’s 4PP and a competition run by Gingertipster, but now there are many (some might say too many) competitions and with Ginger just about to launch a really interesting Flat 10 to Follow and Nathan’s Cheltenham, Royal Ascot and Goodwood compys we have an abundance of competitions on this Thread and while I will be sad to see it go I’m sure you all understand how time consuming it can be.
On the bright side it’s a long way off yet so on with next Saturday’s competition through to Champions Day and so much to look forward too and looking at my abismal score this Season I can’t wait to get started.
Thanks to all players & good luck. Let’s make it a great Final Season and if anyone can win with a score over 200 points their prize will be doubled.

xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 7, 2019 at 02:03 #1416685Congratulations and hats off to Jonova for winning with a massive score, 126.5 takes
some doing, well done sir
A tough battle behind, and not much more than a fag paper separating the 2 Steves and
Giddyup for the runners up positions. Well done guys
Jac, I’m really saddened to see this competition disappearing, it’s become part of
my Saturday ritual and I’ll dearly miss it. I can understand your decision, it takes
me long enough studying the nags and organising my stuff for the various competitions,
without having to organise and keep watch over it all. Many thanks for all your hard
work, not to mention the humour and good craic each week. Nice to have one last hurrah
on the flat season, and then I think you’ve earned it to put your feet up a little, but
only a little, on Saturdays. Let’s hope the last one sends the competition out in a blaze
of glory
April 7, 2019 at 05:01 #1416692thank you all who run a great comp
so sad if nobody cant take up the reins jac
think its probably the only worthwhile thing i”ve
ever won, feel so proud after a recent health scare;
(just to say ornua wasnt my nap total 123.5)
thanks again to all and good huntingApril 7, 2019 at 07:46 #1416695Well done Jonova2003, a great final total, top tipping 🏆 and many thanks Jac and Nathan for all the work you put into running a really enjoyable competition 👍
April 7, 2019 at 08:47 #1416698well done Jonova2003
April 7, 2019 at 09:32 #1416700@Jonova2003
So happy you’ve finally won this jonova, you’ve been one of the original players since we started this 10 years back, I believe, along with a few others and along the way the competition has gathered a happy band of followers.
Hope all is now good after your health scare and wish you well for the future.
I too truly hope someone will take on the comp on after October on but realise it is a commitment and not for all of us, Nathan, Bob, Pat123 and VTC all run their own fantastic comps through the year and I’m looking forward to having more time to study my form book at the weekends.
However still a whole Season to go and hope it’s going to be a great last hurrah throughout the flat season and hope that you manage to top the 200 points next time jonova.

I’ve adjusted your score back to 123.5 which is still a great winning margin, I must have been seeing stars 🌟🌟 last night after a marathon day watching The Grand National and how appropriate that you selected Tiger Roll. Look forward to receiving your details by personal message.
Thanks for your kind words Graham
, really enjoy our weekly banters and wish I was more into the golf where you and Raymo seem to be mopping up
and really hope the ATR Stable Stars Comp returns for the Jumps season.Final thanks to Nathan who has always been there to help out, it couldn’t have happened without you and your famous Starmix Challenge
JacWell played JONOVA 2003 – CHAMPION 2019 JUMPS SEASON TIPSTER
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 7, 2019 at 10:29 #1416707TOP STUFF JONOVA
Even tipping winners on the last day!!And Jac you do such a good job on this competition it will be such a shame if this competition fails. After my efforts at Aintree I am considering throwing my hat into the ring to run it but have to have a think about it.
Anyway well done JONOVA
and as always brilliant admin skilss Jac
April 7, 2019 at 11:09 #1416715Brilliant win Jonova, only person to get a 3-figure score this winter.
Jac, I’d be happy to run the competition from October onwards.
April 7, 2019 at 11:53 #1416728Well done Jonova, some very good selections throughout
Jac, don’t forget the Craven/Guineas up next before Royal Ascot
You have been a brick for us all running this competition Jac and I’m sorry to see you go but can understand your reasons as it can be hard work at times and also time consuming.
Hopefully someone can step in and keep your comp going
maybe re-naming it “Competition Triptych” like what I write down on paper when writing down my picks..Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
April 7, 2019 at 14:18 #1416743Thank you Nathan
for your kind words much appreciated and humbled that you thought to name it for me Nathan but personally would love the comp to keep its original name if possible in memory of a guy called Des who started it originally on the Yahoo racing (some may remember we had a player NAP Mon Mome at 100/1 and steal the prize on the last day). As BigG says it’s always a great Craic
Great news from both The Krypton Factor and Raymo that they might be able to save the 3 horses comp from October onwards. Way to go yet but if they wanted to run it as a pair with one for Jumps Season and one for Flat it would possibly make it easier and help is always at hand for holidays etc. will let you decide where it goes from October If Krypton is happy to take over tbat would be fantastic and help is always there if needs arise at anytime.. just ask

Knowing that the comp will survive and in such good hands makes me really happy

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 9, 2019 at 01:55 #1416910Firstly, well done Jonova. Plenty of winners.
Secondly, thanks to Jac for organising it again. A great competition.
Finally, I’d be more than happy to lend a hand with scoring if Raymo or TheKryptomFactor did go ahead and run the competition next year. Let me know what I can do and I’ll do my best to help. Would be a shame to see this competition end and I feel I’m experienced enough on here now to be helping with competitions, rules, results etc.
April 9, 2019 at 07:59 #1416914Thank you Mom for you offer of help to continue the competition.
I’m sure between yourself Krypton and Raymo, if he decides to throw his hat in, you can sort out a Rota and I’m so happy it won’t be lost…Thank you
