I would be interested to know what his breath/alcohol reading was.
Does anyone know?
August 10, 2008 at 22:11 #176678No ,but the Swedish threshold is lower than that in UK.
Swedes very puritanical over alcohol and drink driving etc which is why their youngsters go on the lash to Denmark at weekends.
Doubt Sir Mark is impressed!August 11, 2008 at 10:05 #176710Swedes very puritanical over alcohol and drink driving etc which is why their youngsters go on the lash to Denmark at weekends.

Doubt Sir Mark is impressed! If I remember correctly Darryll Holland failed an alcohol test in Sweden in the late nineties, I don’t think it takes a lot to fail one in Sweden.
August 11, 2008 at 13:18 #176725I wouldn`t even go in a bar and drink water if i had to drive in Stockholm on a friday night,Swedes are keen on their road checks for drinking (No tolerence!), ive had a few strong words with the police for this annoying obsession,Swedish beer is priced on its alcohal content thus many people drink beer with 2% content, tastes like crap to me!!
Mind you, doesn`t stop the Swedes drinking!!
August 11, 2008 at 22:48 #176755I see it has been reported that Seb Sanders lowest reading was 23ugs and the limit is 10ugs in Sweden.
The limit for drivers is 35ugs in the UK.
I do not know what time he was asked to for his breath test but having some knowledge of the subject my opinion is that he had a little more to drink the night before than he is letting on.
I would imagine that Sir Mark is very upset.
August 12, 2008 at 16:21 #176827I didn’t know he was banned, he rode a winner last night
August 12, 2008 at 16:34 #176829Yes 24th August -6th Spetember.
However he is appealing against the ban so will have to wait and see.
