For a piece of scientific work I’m searching for the pedigrees of some runners in the Epsom Derby (during years 1974 – 1979):
Grand Orient, c, 1971
Our Anniversary, c, 1973
In Haste, c, 1974
Noble Venture, c, 1974
Goblin, c, 1975
Wareath, c, 1975
Chetinkaya, c, 1976Can you help me finding them? Thank you very much for your support!

August 19, 2013 at 14:05 #448822Thanks. Well, PQ is one of the first databasis where I’m used to search. PQ knows a certrain Grand Orient, born 1981 – but this is the wrong one.
Believe me: I wouldn’t ask for horses here, if I haven’t found them otherwise. So it’s a challenge for this community !

And there are another two unknown to me out of Shergar’s Derby:
– Krug
– Waverley HallAugust 19, 2013 at 15:54 #448832Grand Orient B c Prince des Loges – Rina’s Tale (Narrator)
Our Anniversary B c Irish Ball – Dorbe (Tudor Melody)
In Haste Ch c Hotfoot – Caroline of York (Saint Crespin III)
Noble Venture Ch c Hopeful Venture – Grand Slam (Fidalgo)
Goblin ch c Sun Prince – Rocelle (Sodium)
Wareath Ro c Mon Fils – Dispute (Decidely)
Chetinkaya B c Ragstone – Satina (Pall Mall)Wareath down as Roan in my old book, although a recent thread on here would pooh-pooh that.
Some old names that bring back lots of memories for me. (However, can never remember there being a race called the "Epsom Derby"
but there is a "Derby" that is run at Epsom.)August 19, 2013 at 16:17 #448836Krug Br c Relko – Misplanted (Hul a Hul)
Waverley Hall Br c Great Nephew – Haunting Melody (Sing Sing)August 19, 2013 at 16:23 #448838”Epsom” Derby? Ewww!
The Derby is run at Epsom – all imitations (including the one in Kentucky) carrying the name need the prefix.
That is all.

Never mind, but "your" "Derby" is referred as "Epsom Derby" in that little rest of the World outside Britain.
And you had an "Ascot Derby", a "Northern Derby" in earlier times, even a "New Derby" during war-times at Newmarket.

And so quickly, too.
Special thanks to @Adrian, who shares a database I haven’t known so far.
August 25, 2013 at 07:34 #449458Meanwhile I could find all those 667 mares of Derby-runners’ birth-years – but one: Rina’s Tale, the dam of Grand Orient.
Is anybody out there to tell me Rina’s Tale’s year of birth?
Thank you so much!
