Has successfully covered Zarkava, and she is now in foal.
Watch out for their progeny in a few years time!
March 24, 2010 at 15:57 #285317Let’s hope they are better than my favourite filly Bosra Sham’s offspring who never ammounted to anything.
March 24, 2010 at 16:55 #285341I hope it is a complete and utter flop…
Much as i loved both horses, the sport (if we can still refer to flat racing as a sport rather than a billionaires balance sheet) suffered for their retirement (although accept the going barmy issue with Zarakava perhaps)

This is such a special era coming up for Horse Racing, have we ever had it this good?
Please make this happen, how can you fail to market the sport when you have the prospects of Zarkava x STS and Zenyatta x STS + many more.
Just makes you happy when you goto sleep every night knowing whats around the corner in a few years.

Great song. If Sea The Stars has the same success at stud as he did on the race track he could be the foundation sire of the modern era, like a latter day Nearco. Of course, STS could also be a complete flop or have limited success like Secretariat, who’s primary influence today is as a broodmare sire as Secretariat was the sire of fillies and mares like Terlingua and Lady’s Secret. We should know soon as STS is going to get the very best mares for his first and second crops.

Perhaps we should ban those who think the way you do Clive, from seeing the progeny of early retired horses. After all, without the early retirement, you would not be able to enjoy watching their offspring.

Sea the Stars and Zarkava Wonder if they will call it Starkava?
If the horse inherits the ability of those two combined it will be born with wings and a better name might be Pegasus
