Above post reported in error, sorry about that, meant to hit reply and the buttons are a bit close on my chromebook.
I would agree that the Scilly Isles probably panned out as a grade 2 but the pair were in another parish at the end of it.
Willoughby Court is favourite for Cheltenham but he is also taking grade 2 form to the plate for now. He was a bit disappointing last time behind Yanworth and Sizing Tennessee last time. Yanworth has had his share of disappointment this season and Sizing Tennessee was beaten far enough when jt Fav in a handicap next time he ran.
Looking at the JLT, there seems a good few whose prices vary wildly, none more so than Footpad, who surely goes to the Arkle. One thing likely to get Footpad beat at the Festival would be making him run over an extra half mile.
In an ideal world for me, the field will be thinned of the doubtful runners and Terrefort may line up shorter than the current best price of 14/1. Would anyone seriously prefer to back Footpad for the JLT at 2/1?
My philosophy is in backing Terrefort at 25/1 for a £10 bet, as opposed to having to put £50 on Willoughby Court at 5/1 to win the same amount of money (for example)
I mention prices a lot but I am mainly just emphasising that I have backed early at bigger odds and that I am not lumping on later with big confidence at shorter odds.
A winner is a winner, people who bet at a later stage and sometimes way shorter than ante-post, are probably taking a lot more money home than my modest bets early doors. I also often don’t get a run for money into the bargain. It’s all about which way the individual wants to play the market.
The bookies won’t get rich on my stakes

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
