I guess its typical of things at the moment, at least they tried by covering the whole track!
Sad as it was an interesting card!
January 3, 2009 at 16:12 #201242That’s a shame
January 3, 2009 at 16:32 #201246Yes it’s a shame but thankfully the polytrack is able to save the day again.
January 3, 2009 at 17:11 #201260Is the 2.50 at Lingfield on the box?
Marble and I are betting in it.
edit:
Just found out it is!
What good luck.

Yes, for gambling addicts maybe.
January 3, 2009 at 18:23 #201278In expectation of more cancellations next week, the BHA have switched the evening AW meetings Weds – Fri to the afternoon.
So having entered for a Kempton race scheduled at 8:20, I now find I have a runner in the 3:25!
January 3, 2009 at 18:31 #201280You’ll be able to make your weekly pilates class now AP.

I gave it a miss and watched the darts and had a snooze on the couch instead. Lovely.
January 4, 2009 at 03:10 #201406I watched Lingfield in its entirety – did I really see Capricorn Run set off within a length of everything else?

Actually if you believe in God
or the higher orders it is interesting
to notice the invisible hand
that shapes the fixture list.
Yes that list again
Two meetings ahhh
the simplistic beauty
of the numerology
even if they are run on rubber.
VI took in a couple of races
but had people committments so
in a horribly overcrowded town
I chose to seek some company
and elbowed my way through
crowds and crowds
to seek one out
in a sea of daffosJanuary 4, 2009 at 05:26 #201426Aaaaaagggghhhhh.
Cant believe it, Myself a jumps nut backed a 7-1 winner at Lingfield on AW Saturday.
Ok so probably just did it out of wanting to have a bet and i have been to a total of 3 AW meetings in my life and i do quite well when i go to them.
I think i did the equivalent of getting my end away with the village bike and enjoying it.
Please let Warwick or Wetherby be on next Saturday.
January 4, 2009 at 22:15 #201574I hope so, i am due too go with pudding senior, the jammy bugger usally backs more winners than me.
Any chance they will reschedule some of the sandown card elswhere?

There are some signs that Jack Frost will lessen his grip by the weekend, though given the country has been unusually cold for some weeks now it wouldn’t be a surprise if any milder weather is ushered in by a period of snow first.
