Had a bit ew on little Duc de Genievres who couldn’t go the pace last time but might be a bit happier here on this ground and trip.
Backed Riders Onthe Storm a few weeks ago and Aso at a big price. One to enjoy, mostly.
Pleased for Min- like Un de Sceaux- finally get his Cheltenham win. Hope he doesn’t go to Aintree – even though it’s his track- and gets a nice rest till Punchestown now.

Yes that was lovely to see- he had screwed over a few in his past couple of runs as if he was uncomfortable so great to see him going well.
Great to see Min finally get the Cheltenham victory he deserves.
Gavin Sheehan rode a great race, good judge of pace. How the race went – a better jump at the last may well have won him the race. Definitely Saint Calvados’s career best, but will need to keep improving as the race may prove to flatter him. Min (and to a certain extent A Plus Tard) look to have gone faster than ideal early (leading to an overall slow time).
A Plus Tard ran his race, just didn’t show the improvement some of us thought him capable of.Value Is EverythingSaw Harry Whittington interviewed on RTV. Really sporting in defeat. He deserves a festival winner and maybe it will happen later today.

Indeed Clive, really impressed with Harry Whittington today and when he was interviewed by Nick Luck last week. Great training to take three horses to the festival and come away with a winner, a second and a third. And if Saint Calvados had jumped the last a bit more fluently it might have been two winners.
