June 30, 2008 at 11:11 #170926Apparently he was refused entry through a gateway to the weighing room and he refused to comment on it so hard to say it was all his fault.

Being abusive is not excusable in any circumstances

Did I say it was?

"it’s hard to say it was all his fault" certainly implies that is what you were saying.
He was either abusive or he wasn’t – on the basis he was fined 1,000 yo yo’s I take the view he was guilty.
June 30, 2008 at 13:09 #170956Moore doesn’t like any bull, and is clearly a no-nonsense character who thinks "spin" is something to do with washing clothes.
Thats his character, if it needs saying he’ll say it, quite right and fair play to the bloke.
June 30, 2008 at 13:13 #170959Fair play to him for being abusive????
What’s good about that – I’m all for people giving their opinion but there’s no need to be abusive about it.
He was obviously stopped for a reason (incorrect ID maybe)
June 30, 2008 at 13:20 #170963He became aggressive when refused entry to a restricted area for which he did not have the required accreditation.
June 30, 2008 at 13:31 #170967The jockey for the Irish Derby favourite being refused entry to a restircted area? Was it the ladies toilet?
June 30, 2008 at 14:21 #170987What relevance has riding the favourite in the Derby got to do with the incident?
June 30, 2008 at 14:53 #170995The jockey for the Irish Derby favourite being refused entry to a restircted area? Was it the ladies toilet?
There are many restricted areas for jockeys at racecourses, and these restricted areas are for every jockey, not just jockeys who are riding Irish Derby favourites

Moore tried to enter an area that was restricted to him and therefore turned abusive – he deserves all he gets in my opinion. It’s just a shame that the extent of the fine won’t make any difference to him changing his attitude.
June 30, 2008 at 15:16 #170997There must be potential here for a sitcom, based around the trials and tribulations of an angry young jockey. A working title, perhaps, of ‘One Foot Out of the Stirrups’, with the central character being a certain Victor Mooredrew?

Well next time just ask me instead of assuming what I mean.

June 30, 2008 at 19:05 #171028Did anyone see the letter in the Daily Mail(I do read it to my shame) last week, someone wrote in and had a right pop about Moore having to be forced to have his picture taken with the winning owners of a horse he had just won on. This was on the main letters page, now you can imagine what sort of doom and gloom appears on this page, obviously what happened yesterday is a stand alone event, but it makes you think that Moore’s reticence/shyness is something that will count against him in the long run, if the Mail is prepared to print a letter like that, about a jockey who non-racing people have never heard of, it makes you wonder if the knives are out in certain sections of the press.
